Perova Cylinder Outdoor Wall Light (H400mm)

The Perova is a tall clear-glass cylinder on a solid brass frame — 400 mm high and only ø134 mm across. It is a deliberately vertical fitting, and that proportion is what makes it work on a narrow pier or beside a door where a wide lantern would crowd the wall.

Clear glass means the globe is the design

There is nothing to hide behind here. The cylinder is clear, so whatever lamp you fit is fully visible and becomes part of the fitting. A vintage filament globe is what this is drawn for — it gives the industrial, mid-century read the shape is asking for. A plain frosted globe will work electrically and look unfinished.

Solid brass, and it will change

The frame is solid brass, not brass-plated. Outdoors it will darken and patina, especially near the coast. That is the material behaving correctly rather than failing, but if you want it to stay bright it needs occasional polishing. The black finish sidesteps the question entirely.

Where it works

• Narrow piers and columns either side of a gate or door, where the vertical proportion fits.
• Entry walls under some shelter, at head height or just above.
• Courtyards and alfresco walls where the filament globe is part of the look.
• Paired down a long elevation at even centres, using the slim footprint.

Specifying it

It is 400 mm high, ø134 mm, and projects 192 mm from the wall — check that projection against any doorway or path it sits beside. One E27 holder, 25 W maximum, globe not included. Dimming is globe dependent. It is IP44, which covers splashing from any direction, so it handles normal weather but not direct hosing or immersion. Surface mounted, 240 V. Warranty is three years.
