Arc LED Wall Plaster Light Small 3w

The Arc Small is the compact plaster wall light in the Arc pair, 150 mm wide and 120 mm high, with the same curved aperture throwing a fan of light up the wall. It runs a G9 capsule instead of the large version's E14 screw base, which keeps the body small enough to suit tighter walls and closer spacings. The plaster is high-density and supplied white, ready to paint, so the fitting can be finished in the wall colour and effectively disappear. It is rated IP20 — an indoor fitting, not one for an exterior wall or an exposed alfresco.

The choice to make

The two part numbers differ in colour temperature. HV8025C is cool white at 5500K and produces 130 lm; HV8025W is warm white at 3000K and produces 120 lm. Both draw 2 W at 240 V. In a home that reads warm, 3000K keeps the arc sympathetic to the finishes; 5500K suits a cooler, more graphic interior.

• Narrow hallways where a larger plaster body would dominate the wall.
• Close-spaced runs along a passage, giving repeated arcs of light rather than one big wash.
• Bedhead walls in bedrooms, painted out so only the light is visible.
• Internal stairwells and landings in rendered or plasterboard construction.

Specifying it

The Arc Small wires straight to 240 V AC mains — no driver, no transformer. It is Class 1, requiring an earth, so a licensed electrician must connect it. The lamp is a G9 capsule and it is replaceable; a G4, GU10 or E14 globe will not fit the pins. The globe is not included and the fitting does not publish a socket wattage ceiling, so read the maximum printed on the fitting's own label before you buy a globe. There is no diffuser over the aperture, impact rating is IK02, and the fitting is not dimmable. Rated life is under 30,000 hours.
