316 Stainless Steel LED Spotlight CCT 2Lt

This is the double-headed, fully adjustable Tivah in 316 marine-grade stainless steel — a wall and pillar light with two independently aimed heads, so one fitting can throw light up a wall and down onto a path from the same mounting point. 316 stainless is the grade to specify near salt air, and at IP65 the fitting is built for direct rain and coastal weather rather than sheltered positions. The real decision on this listing is not the finish, it is the lamp platform: three part numbers, and they do not all run on the same voltage.

The choice to make

HV1305T and HV1307GU10T are 240 V GU10 fittings and wire straight to mains — no driver required. HV1307MR16T is a 12 V DC MR16 fitting and requires a 12 V DC LED driver; it must never be connected directly to 240 V power. Get that wrong and the fitting is destroyed instantly. Output follows the part number too: HV1305T gives 2 × 200–560 lm at 3000K, 2 × 255–595 lm at 4000K and 2 × 270–630 lm at 5500K depending on the 3/5/7 W GU10 fitted, while HV1307GU10T and HV1307MR16T both run 2 × 270 lm at 3000K, 2 × 285 lm at 4000K and 2 × 300 lm at 5500K from 5 W lamps. Beam angle is 90°.

Specifying it

If you choose the 12 V MR16 variant, the fitting must sit no more than 25 m from its driver — that is a warranty limit, not a rule of thumb, because voltage drop over a longer run starves the lamp. GU10 variants are Class 1 and require an earth. The lamps are replaceable on all three, and the base must match the part number you bought: GU10 lamps for the GU10 codes, MR16 for the MR16 code, and the two are not interchangeable. Maximum globe wattage for the GU10 socket is 35 W. The fitting is not dimmable with the supplied globes.
