A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
This is the largest Corba — a recessed brick light at 10 W, reaching 550 lm. At that output it stops being a marker and becomes a working light, which suits a driveway wall, a wide entry or a long flight of steps where the fitting is expected to put usable light on the ground.
This is the single most important thing to get right on this listing, because the two voltages are not equivalent here. The 240 V codes are Triac dimmable; the 12 V codes are not. If dimming matters — and at 550 lm beside an entry it often does — you must buy the 240 V version. Ordering the 12 V code and a dimmer will not produce a dimmable installation, and the fitting is not at fault when it does not work. On the 240 V version, pair it with a Triac (leading-edge) wall dimmer.
The smaller Corba models publish their apertures; for the 10 W model the cut-out and installation depth are not published, and they are certainly larger than the 6 W model's rather than the same. Do not scale them from the smaller sizes — measure the fitting or the canister in hand, and cut a test aperture, before any brickwork is cut or built. Getting this wrong on a recessed fitting is the one mistake that cannot be undone with a screwdriver.
Three finishes in two voltages. The 240 V codes wire straight to mains and are the dimmable ones; the 12 V codes need a 12 V DC LED driver sized for the run — at 10 W each, four fittings already draw 40 W. Black is the least expensive finish; antique brass and brass carry a premium and suit a cover plate that will be seen close up.
The 10 W LED is built in — no globe, no socket. Tri-colour switching gives 490 lm at 3000 K, 550 lm at 4000 K and 510 lm at 5500 K; the middle setting is the brightest, so treat the three as colours. IP54 covers rain and splashing, not jets. Aluminium, supplied with its cover.
Lights For You stocks the Corba in 3, 6 and 10 W. If you want this output and dimming, order the 240 V code — it is the only version that offers both.
This listing sells more than one supply, and the earthing requirement is not the same on both. Check which part number you are wiring before you start.
Only the 240 V codes, which are Triac dimmable. The 12 V codes cannot be dimmed, so order the 240 V version if dimming matters.
The cut-out and depth are not published for the 10 W model. Measure the fitting or canister in hand and cut a test aperture — do not scale the figures from the smaller Corba sizes.
Roughly twice the output again — 490–550 lm against 260–290 lm — in a larger body. It lights the ground rather than marking the wall.
Three finishes — black, antique brass, brass — in two voltages. 240 V wires straight to mains and dims; 12 V needs a driver and does not.
At 10 W each, four fittings draw 40 W. Size the driver above the total with headroom and site it to suit its own IP rating.
4000 K at 550 lm, against 490 lm at 3000 K and 510 lm at 5500 K.
Three years, as a replacement warranty.
