Mini Tivah is the unusual one here: a spike-mounted bollard carrying two adjustable heads on a 600 mm spike, each taking a replaceable 3 W MR11 LED globe. Two heads on one spike means one cable run, one connection and one hole in the garden bed doing the work of two fittings — aim one head up into a tree and the other down onto the path beside it, from a single position.

The choice to make: two aims from one spike

The heads give 90° tilt and 270° swivel, so this is a fitting you set on site and adjust once the planting is in rather than one you have to plan precisely on paper. That flexibility is the reason to pay for it over two fixed spikes. The 600 mm spike is unusually long, which matters: it holds a taller fitting steady in soft garden soil where a short spike would lean over after a season of watering.

Where it works

• Driveway and front-path garden beds, with one head grazing the driveway edge and the other uplighting the shrub behind it.
• Mixed planting beds where a single position needs to light both a feature plant and the ground cover in front of it.
• Along a fence or boundary hedge, aiming both heads outward to wash a long run from fewer positions.
• Established garden beds where a 600 mm spike can reach past mulch and root mass into firm soil.

Specifying it

The lamp base is MR11 and there are two of them. The globes are replaceable, and replacements must be MR11 rated for 12 V DC — an MR16 is a larger lamp and will not fit these heads, and a GU10 is wrong both physically and electrically. Change both globes together so the two heads stay matched in colour.

Mini Tivah is 12 V DC and requires a 12 V DC LED driver; it must never be connected directly to 240 V. Keep each fitting within 25 m of its driver to stay inside the warranty terms, and remember this fitting draws for two heads, so size the driver on the total across the run.

Rated IP65 — direct rain, sprinkler spray and ground moisture are within rating for a spike sitting in soil. Clear glass, 90° beam, IK08 impact rated, on a 2 m reinforced cable. Supplied as 2 × 3000K at 270 lm and available at 2 × 4000K at 300 lm; the variant table carries the per-SKU figure. Installation by a licensed electrician.
