Lille is a small adjustable garden spotlight — a ø40 mm head, 88 mm long, on a 168 mm spike, drawing 2.5 W through a 40° beam. What separates it from the other small spikes here is that it accepts an optional hood and an optional honeycomb lens. Both are glare-control accessories, and they are the reason to choose Lille: a hood shields the source from a sightline, and a honeycomb lens kills the visible sparkle of the LED so you see the lit subject rather than the fitting. On a path walked towards, that is the difference between a garden that looks lit and one full of bright dots.

The decision that matters: this is a 24 V fitting

Lille requires a 24 V DC LED driver and must never be connected directly to 240 V, which destroys it on the spot and is not a warranty claim. Note the voltage carefully — most garden spike lights in this range are 12 V, and a 12 V driver will not run this fitting correctly. Keep each fitting within 25 m of its driver: past that Havit's warranty does not apply, and voltage drop shows as the far lights going dim. A 2500 mm reinforced tail is supplied.

• Paths and steps walked towards, with the hood fitted so the source is out of the sightline.
• Beds overlooked from inside the house — the honeycomb lens stops the fitting reading as a glare point through a window.
• Small feature plants, cycads and pots where a 40° beam suits the size of the subject.
• Courtyards and townhouse gardens where a 12 W spotlight would be far too much light.

Specifying it

Tri-colour selectable at install — 3000K, 4000K or 5500K — with output in the 130–150 lm range from the built-in 2.5 W LED; the variant table carries the per-SKU figure. Choose one temperature for the whole garden. The LED is built in: no globe is needed and none can be fitted. Triac dimmable when run on a suitable dimmable 24 V DC driver — the dimming lives on the low-voltage side, so the driver has to be the right type from the start. Powder-coated aluminium in black with a clear glass lens, CRI above 80, IP65 and IP67 rated for direct rain and ground moisture around the spike, IK08 impact rating, and class III low-voltage construction so no earth is required. Licensed electrician only.
