HV1488T-BLK - Divad Aluminium Black LED Garden Spike Light

Divad is a fixed-aim garden spike light in black aluminium — 5 W built in, on a 210 mm spike with a 2 metre reinforced tail. The thing to understand before ordering is that it is a single fixed spike light, not an adjustable spotlight: you aim it by how you drive the spike into the ground, with no tilt or swivel joint to tweak afterwards. That is a virtue where it suits the job — fewer joints means fewer places for water to find a way in — but if you expect to re-aim it as planting grows, an adjustable head is the better buy.

The decision that matters: this is a 12 V fitting

Divad requires a 12 V DC LED driver and must never be connected directly to 240 V — that destroys the fitting immediately and is not a warranty claim. Keep each fitting within 25 m of its driver; outside that distance Havit's warranty does not apply, and the practical symptom is voltage drop reading as uneven brightness across the garden. Size the driver for the combined wattage of every fitting on the circuit with headroom, not for one light.

Specifying it

Tri-colour selectable at install, and the product's own table gives 300 lm at 3000K, 320 lm at 4000K and 310 lm at 5500K from the built-in 5 W LED. Choose one temperature for the whole garden and set every fitting to match. The LED is built in: no globe is needed and none can be fitted. It is not dimmable. Powder-coated aluminium with a clear glass lens — glass holds its clarity under Australian UV where polycarbonate gradually yellows. IP65 and IP67 rated with an IK08 impact rating, and class III low-voltage construction so no earth is required at the fitting. Installation by a licensed electrician.
