This listing sells the tilting Prime downlight in Havit's four coloured metal finishes — HV5512T-AB antique brass, HV5512T-BR brass, HV5512T-CP copper and HV5512T-NK nickel. Each is a complete 12 W luminaire supplied with its driver, flex and plug, and every one of them drops into a Ø90 mm cut-out. The same model in black and white is sold from its own page.
The lamp module swings 20° inside the housing, and that is the single thing separating this model from the rest of the Prime range. Twenty degrees is enough to lift light off the floor and onto a wall, a splashback or a run of joinery from a downlight set back from it, and not enough to aim across a room. The beam itself is 60°, so the tilt moves a reasonably contained cone rather than steering a wash — and because Havit prints tilt and beam in adjacent columns the two are easily read as one, so they are stated separately here.
A slide switch on the back of the fitting sets 3000K, 4000K or 5500K before it goes into the ceiling, so the choice is made once, at installation. Havit's ordering row measures 839 lm at 3000K, 913 lm at 4000K and 841 lm at 5500K. The middle setting is the brightest by about 9%, and the warm and cool ends are two lumens apart — so on this fitting the colour decision is entirely about how the room should feel and costs essentially nothing in light. A cooler setting is not a brighter one here.
Havit builds the Prime on four housings and the number in the part code is the only reliable guide to the hole each one needs. HV5511 takes Ø70 mm, HV5513 takes Ø76 mm, and both HV5512 and HV5514 take Ø90 mm. All four measure the same 839/913/841 lm from the same 12 W engine, so the choice between them is about the ceiling and the optic rather than about output. If you already have a 90 mm hole, this tilting model and the fixed deep HV5514 will both fit it.
It arrives with a Triac dimmable driver, so it dims from an ordinary wall dimmer; Havit offers the HV9625 to suit its Triac dimmable drivers. It is IC-4 rated, and that rating carries conditions the installer has to meet: only the LED fitting may sit under insulation, the driver must never be covered and must be mounted above any insulation covering the fixture so it can ventilate, and the fixture must not be used with loose-fill insulation such as macerated paper or wool.
The body is aluminium — the brass, copper and nickel names are the finish, not the metal — behind a clear glass diffuser, measuring Ø105 mm across the face by 70 mm deep. It runs on 240 V AC, is Protection Class 2 so no earth is required at the fitting, and is IP54 at the front of the fitting only — the face resists dust and splashing and the plenum side does not. CRI >90, SDCM <4, UGR <22, IK06, lamp expectancy >50,000 hrs. Havit's warranty line for these part numbers reads "3 Years replacement warranty (items ordered after 01/01/22)", and Lights For You publishes here only what this model's own dated sheet and Havit's page for these exact part numbers state.
Ø90 mm, with a body of Ø105 mm across the face by 70 mm deep. Two of the other Prime models use Ø70 mm and Ø76 mm holes, so check the part number rather than the range name before the ceiling is cut.
20°. That is the figure on Havit’s data sheet for this model and on its page for these part numbers. It aims a 60° beam onto a wall or a bench from a fitting set a little way off it; it will not throw light across a room.
4000K, at 913 lm. 3000K gives 839 lm and 5500K gives 841 lm — two lumens apart — so the warm and cool settings are effectively identical in output and the choice is about the room.
Yes. The supplied driver is Triac dimmable and Havit offers the HV9625 dimmer to suit its Triac dimmable drivers. The CCT and RGBCW versions of this same body are dimmed in an app instead and are not intended for a wall dimmer, so the two are not interchangeable on a dimmed circuit.
It is IC-4 rated, with conditions. Only the LED fitting may be under insulation; the driver must never be covered and has to be mounted above any insulation covering the fixture so it can ventilate. Loose-fill insulation such as macerated paper or wool must not be used with this fixture at all.
The same model, in a different finish. HV5512T-BLK and HV5512T-WHT sell from their own listing; the four part numbers here are the coloured metal finishes on the identical aluminium body, and all six share the Ø90 mm cut-out.
No. Havit rates it IP54 at the front of the fitting only, and the installation type is a recessed ceiling. The face resists dust and splashing from the room side; nothing above the plasterboard is protected, so it is an indoor fitting.
