This listing sells the fixed deep Prime downlight on a Ø76 mm cut-out in all six of Havit's finishes — antique brass, brass, copper and nickel alongside black and white. Each is a complete 12 W luminaire with its driver, flex and plug. It does not tilt, and the depth of the housing is the point of it.
The light source sits further back behind the face than on the shallow Prime bodies, so you see the lit surface rather than the emitter when you look up at it from across a room. Havit publishes the result of that as a UGR of <19 for this model, against <22 on the shallow HV5511 and HV5512 housings — a measurable difference in discomfort glare, and the reason to choose a deep body for a room people sit and look up in. It costs ceiling depth, which is the trade to weigh against it.
Ø76 mm is the only cut-out this model takes. The deep body is also made for a Ø90 mm hole as the HV5514, so if you are replacing existing downlights the part number rather than the range name is what has to match the ceiling. Across the whole Prime range the holes are Ø70 mm, Ø76 mm and Ø90 mm, and nothing in the finish or the title distinguishes them.
A slide switch on the back sets 3000K, 4000K or 5500K before installation. Havit measures 839 lm, 913 lm and 841 lm at those three points, so 4000K is the brightest by roughly 9% and the warm and cool ends differ by two lumens. Those are the same figures the other three Prime bodies produce from the same 12 W engine — the housings change the hole and the glare, not the light. The beam is 60° and colour rendering is CRI >90 with SDCM <4, which is a tight enough binning that adjacent fittings should not read as different whites.
The supplied driver is Triac dimmable, so an ordinary wall dimmer works and Havit offers the HV9625 to suit its Triac dimmable drivers. It is IC-4 rated with conditions: only the LED fitting may sit under insulation, the driver must never be covered and must be mounted above any insulation covering the fixture, and the fixture must not be used with loose-fill insulation such as macerated paper or wool.
The body is aluminium with a clear glass diffuser and measures Ø84 mm across the face. It runs on 240 V AC, is Protection Class 2 so no earth is required at the fitting, and is IP54 at the front of the fitting only. IK06, lamp expectancy >50,000 hrs. Havit's warranty line for these part numbers reads "3 Years replacement warranty (items ordered after 01/01/22)". Lights For You does not publish an overall depth for this model: Havit's drawing carries two unlabelled figures and does not say which is the depth of the housing, so the recess required should be confirmed on site rather than taken from a number nobody has attributed.
Ø76 mm, with a face of Ø84 mm. The Prime range uses Ø70 mm, Ø76 mm and Ø90 mm cut-outs across its four bodies, so match the part number to the hole rather than the range name.
Because Havit does not label it. The dimension drawing on this model’s data sheet and on the installation sheet carries two figures with nothing saying which is the overall depth, and Havit’s website publishes no dimensions in its page copy. Rather than pick one, this page publishes the face diameter and the cut-out, both of which every source agrees on.
Glare. The emitter sits further back, and Havit rates this model UGR <19 against <22 on the shallow HV5511 and HV5512 bodies. It matters most in rooms where people look up — a lounge, a bedroom, a long hallway.
4000K, at 913 lm. 3000K gives 839 lm and 5500K gives 841 lm, so the two ends are two lumens apart and the choice is about the room rather than about brightness.
Yes — the supplied driver is Triac dimmable, so a standard wall dimmer works, and Havit offers the HV9625 dimmer to suit its Triac dimmable drivers. The Wi-Fi versions of this body are dimmed in an app instead and are not intended for a dimmer plate.
It is IC-4 rated, with conditions. Only the LED fitting may be under insulation; the driver must never be covered and must be mounted above any insulation covering the fixture. Loose-fill insulation such as macerated paper or wool must not be used with this fixture at all.
Yes. One aluminium body, one light engine, one Ø76 mm cut-out; the antique brass, brass, copper and nickel names describe the finish rather than the metal, and black and white are the same housing powder coated.
