This listing sells the 12 W Nella Tilt in both finishes — HV5813T-BLK in black and HV5813T-WHT in white. It is the middle fitting of the three Nella Tilt sizes, measuring Ø90 mm across the face on a Ø86 mm mounting base, it needs no ceiling cut-out, and its lamp module swings 20° so the beam can be aimed once the fitting is up.
Havit builds the Nella Tilt on three bodies and the diameter is the honest guide to which one you are looking at: Ø75 mm for the 7 W, Ø90 mm for this 12 W, and Ø115 mm for the 18 W. They share the tilt mechanism, the 60° beam and the IP40 rating, and they differ in size and output. At 980 lm, 1015 lm and 985 lm across the three colour temperatures this is the fitting for general light in a normal room — enough to be the only light source over a modest space, where the 7 W is an accent and the 18 W is for a high ceiling or a large floor area.
This fitting is IP40, and that is not a detail. IP40 resists solid objects down to 1 mm and carries no water rating at all. Three of the five Nella surface mounts are IP54 and both tilt models are not, and neither the range name nor the part number signals the difference. Use it in interior positions — living areas, bedrooms, hallways, retail — and use one of the IP54 members of the family where splashing is possible. Getting this wrong is a fitting replaced rather than a setting changed.
A slide switch inside the fitting selects 3000K, 4000K or 5500K before installation, so the decision is made once. The brightest setting is 4000K at 1015 lm; 3000K gives 980 lm and 5500K gives 985 lm, which are within five lumens of each other. Cool white is not the bright option on this fitting. The 20° tilt then does the aiming: enough to put a 60° beam onto a wall, artwork or a bench from a fitting set back from it, not enough to throw light across a room. Havit's installation sheet notes that the head is tilted by pushing gently on the centre of the fitting, so no tool and no dismantling is involved once it is installed.
The base plate is fixed to the ceiling first and the body plugs into it and locks on, concealing the fixings behind a face 4 mm wider than the base — so a misplaced hole is not easily hidden. It runs on 240 V AC, is Protection Class 1 with an earth required at the fitting, and is Triac dimmable from an ordinary wall dimmer, with Havit's HV9625 dimmer listed to suit.
Powder-coated aluminium behind a Semi Frosted Glass diffuser, IK07, CRI >80, lamp expectancy >30,000 hrs, wiring parallel. Its own installation sheet carries a condition on the fitting: "Aluminium and 304SS fittings must not be installed within 5km of any salt water environments." Havit's page for these part numbers states "Built-in 12w LED 3 Years replacement warranty (items ordered after 01/01/22)", and HV5813T_Data_Sheet_JULY23.pdf prints "Warranty 3 Years Replacement*". Lights For You publishes here only what this model's own dated sheet and Havit's page for these exact part numbers state.
No. It is IP40, which carries no water rating. Both Nella Tilt models are IP40 while three other Nella surface mounts are IP54, so the rating has to be checked per part number rather than assumed from the range.
980 lm at 3000K, 1015 lm at 4000K and 985 lm at 5500K. That is enough to serve as general light over a modest room, unlike the 7 W model in the same range.
4000K, at 1015 lm. The 3000K and 5500K settings are within five lumens of each other, so the cool setting is not the bright one.
No. A Ø86 mm base is screwed to the ceiling and the Ø90 mm body covers it. Nothing is cut, so it suits a slab, a rented ceiling or a lining you cannot cut.
Havit’s installation sheet says to tilt the fitting by pushing gently on the centre of it. The movement is 20°, with a 60° beam, and no tool is required.
The Nella Tilt comes as Ø75 mm 7 W, Ø90 mm 12 W and Ø115 mm 18 W. The diameter is the reliable guide — they share the tilt, the 60° beam and the IP40 rating.
Yes to both. It is Protection Class 1, so an earth is required at the fitting, and it is Triac dimmable from a standard wall dimmer; Havit lists the HV9625 to suit.
