A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
A garden spike light in solid brass with a graphite finish, on a spike that pushes into soft ground rather than needing a footing. The head tilts through 90°, so the fitting is aimed after it is in the ground — which is the whole reason spike lights exist. Plants grow, beds are replanted, and a fitting that can be repositioned by hand outlives one that is fixed.
The body is solid brass. In a garden bed a fitting sits in wet soil, fertiliser, mulch and sprinkler overspray for years, and that combination finds the weak point in any coated finish — usually an edge or a cable gland, where corrosion then works inward.
Brass has no coating to fail. It darkens and develops a patina instead, which under the graphite finish reads as the fitting settling into the garden rather than deteriorating in it. If an unchanging appearance is the requirement, brass is the wrong choice; if longevity in wet ground is, it is the right one.
The Tivah takes an MR16 LED globe and Havit supplies it with the fitting, rated at 5W producing 270lm, 285lm and 300lm across its three colour settings. Colour rendering is above 80 CRI.
Havit lists the fitting as not dimmable with the globes supplied, so it should not be specified on a dimmed circuit expecting the supplied lamps to respond. Because MR16 is a standard base, the globe can be changed later without disturbing the brass body — which on a fitting that spends its life in wet soil is the part worth preserving.
The fitting runs on 12V DC and is a Class 3 low-voltage fitting, so no earth is required at the fitting. A 12V driver is required on the circuit and is not part of this listing. Low voltage is what makes a spike light safe to have loose in a garden bed where it will be moved by hand.
It is rated IP65 for dust and jetted water, and IK08 for impact. Push the spike into ground that has been dug or watered rather than forcing it into hard clay, which bends the spike and leaves the fitting leaning. Installation is work for a licensed electrician, even at low voltage.
Yes. Havit supplies the MR16 LED globe with the fitting.
No — Havit lists it as not dimmable with the globes supplied.
Yes. It runs on 12V DC and the driver is not supplied.
No. Solid brass darkens and develops a patina in a garden. That is the material behaving normally.
Yes, through 90° of tilt, and it can be repositioned by hand as planting changes.
