A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
This is the wider Vertex, and the only thing that changes is the column. At Ø70 mm against the HV1511T's Ø60 mm, it carries the same 3 W built-in LED, the same 110 lm at 3000K, 120 lm at 4000K and 115 lm at 5500K, the same 120° beam and the same 600 mm height. We would rather say that plainly than manufacture a difference: the choice between the two Vertex sizes is about how the fitting sits in the landscape, not about how much light you get.
Slim columns read as elegant against fine planting and gravel, and as flimsy against sandstone, rendered walls, wide aggregate driveways and mature shrubs. The Ø70 mm body has the visual weight to hold a position beside heavier hard landscaping, and it is the better choice where the fitting sits in open lawn with nothing near it to give a sense of scale. It is also marginally more forgiving of a knock — the aluminium section is thicker — though both are rated IK08 and neither is a bollard you should site where cars manoeuvre.
The Vertex takes 24 V DC from a suitable 24 V DC LED driver. This matters more than it sounds: a lot of the Havit garden range around it runs at 12 V DC, and the two cannot share a driver or a cable run. Do not connect the fitting directly to 240 V — the driver does that job. The tri-colour selection is made in the same operation: the neutral cables are labelled, and your electrician connects 3000K or 5500K, or joins both for 4000K. That joint is then soldered and sealed, so the colour is a decision you make once.
If you are ordering a mixed run, note that the two Vertex sizes look deliberate together in a garden that changes character along its length; Lights For You will help you split the count if that is the effect you are after.
No. Both give 110 lm at 3000K, 120 lm at 4000K and 115 lm at 5500K from the same 3 W built-in LED, with the same 120° beam and the same 600 mm height. The only difference is the column diameter — Ø70 mm here against Ø60 mm — so choose on proportion, not on output.
The wider aluminium extrusion uses more material. It is the same light in a heavier body, which is worth paying for when the fitting has to hold its own beside stonework, rendered walls or a wide driveway, and not worth paying for beside fine planting.
No. It is 24 V DC and requires a 24 V DC LED driver. Many Havit garden fittings are 12 V DC, so an existing low-voltage run is quite likely to be the wrong voltage. Confirm what your driver actually supplies before ordering.
By cable, at installation. The neutral conductors are labelled; connecting the 3000K or 5500K one selects that setting, and joining both gives 4000K. The connection is soldered and heat-shrunk to keep the fitting watertight, so it is not something to change casually afterwards.
No more than 25 m, with the voltage at the fitting within ±5% of what it needs. Havit treats that as a warranty condition, so on a long garden run the driver position has to be planned first.
No. Both the data sheet and the installation instructions list it as not dimmable, and the LED is built in, so there is no globe to substitute.
