Renzi Black Polycarbonate Bollard Light - 900mm

The Renzi is a 900 mm bollard moulded in black polycarbonate rather than metal, with an opal polycarbonate diffuser and a replaceable E27 lamp holder. It is the taller of the two models on its data sheet, and the material is the reason to choose it.

Havit calls this one suitable for coastal installation

✅ Havit's own listing describes the Renzi as suitable for coastal installation. That is the opposite of what the metal bollards beside it say: those carry a restriction keeping aluminium fittings well back from salt spray, and a moulded polycarbonate body is simply not exposed to that problem. If you are lighting a path within sight of the water, this is the shape of fitting to be looking at.

240 V mains, and no earth required

It runs on 240 V AC mains and is Protection Class 2, which Havit records as no earth required — double-insulated rather than earthed. Several bollards in this range are earthed fittings, so do not assume the terminations match the one you installed last week. The fitting is not dimmable; plan a switched circuit rather than a dimmed one.

A 9 W globe in a 20 W holder

It ships with a 9 W tri-colour E27 LED globe offering 3000K, 4000K and 5500K, and Havit rates the holder to a maximum of 20 W. ✅ That is real headroom — a brighter replacement is a genuine option here, which is not true of every E27 bollard Havit builds; some cap at exactly the wattage they ship with. ⚠ The three temperatures are a property of the tri-colour globe supplied, so an ordinary E27 replacement will light the fitting perfectly well and will simply be whatever colour temperature it happens to be.

Output, and what the figures actually describe

Havit pairs the output as 700 lm at 3000K, 720 lm at 4000K and 740 lm at 5500K, so on this globe the brightest setting really is 5500K. The spread is 180°, colour rendering is CRI >80 and lamp expectancy is >30,000hrs. ⚠ Every one of those figures belongs to the globe supplied and not to the body, so a lamp you fit in three years sets its own output and its own spread.

IP65 and IK04 — read the second number before you site it

The body carries a proper IP65 weather rating. ⚠ The number that decides where it goes is IK04, near the bottom of the IK01–IK10 impact scale, which is low for something standing at shin height beside a wheelbarrow or a football. Set it back from the mowing line rather than in it. ⚠ Havit publishes no installation sheet for this model — only a data sheet — so the mounting and sealing conditions its metal siblings carry are simply not stated for this one, and it is worth asking before assuming they apply.
