The Prisma 970 is a 970 mm surface-mounted bollard with a replaceable E27 globe, in powder-coated black aluminium behind a UV-stabilised Perspex diffuser. The taller post puts the light source above low planting, and because it takes a lamp rather than a sealed LED you can change the output and the colour later.
It runs on 240 V AC mains and is Protection Class 1, so it requires an earth. Havit's installation sheet leads with a warning rather than a specification: this is a 240 V mains-voltage fitting, and in Australia and New Zealand fixed mains wiring must be carried out by a licensed electrician. There is no transformer and no driver in this product. ⚠ If you encounter a low-voltage input quoted against this model anywhere, disregard it — the ordering table, the protection class, the installation warning and Havit's own product page all give 240 V AC.
It ships with an 8 W E27 LED filament globe at 2700K, giving 700 lm across a 120° spread. Those figures describe that globe and not the fitting, so anything you fit later sets its own output and beam. It is not a tri-colour fitting: there is no switch and no colour-temperature setting, and the way to change the colour is to change the lamp. Havit lists HV9569W at 2700K, HV9569N at 4000K and HV9569C at 5500K for exactly that. The socket accepts up to 40 W, which is real headroom over the 8 W supplied, and the fitting is Triac dimmable — stated on both Havit documents for this model, and possible only because it is a mains lamp holder rather than a sealed LED.
The body is IP65 and IK08. Colour quality is CRI >80 with SDCM <6, glare is UGR <39, and Havit rates lamp expectancy at >30,000hrs. ⚠ One restriction is easy to breach without meaning to: avoid direct high-pressure water exposure from pressure washers or irrigation systems. IP65 is a jet rating rather than a pressure-wash rating, and a sprinkler head aimed at the bollard is the usual way water gets in.
It is surface mounted: the base plate fixes to concrete or a concrete pad, and the fitting must not be installed under ground level. All seals, gaskets and cable entries must be correctly installed to maintain the IP rating. On siting, Havit's wording is that aluminium fittings should not be installed within 5 km of saltwater environments, and this fitting is aluminium. Lights For You publishes these figures for HV1642W-BLK from the HV1641W/HV1642W data sheet, the HV1641W/HV1642W installation instructions and Havit's own page for this model, which states a 3 Years Replacement Warranty.
No — 240 V AC mains, Protection Class 1, earthed, and wired by a licensed electrician. Havit's installation sheet opens with that warning. There is no transformer or driver involved.
Not with a switch. This is not a tri-colour fitting; you change the globe. It ships at 2700K and Havit lists HV9569W (2700K), HV9569N (4000K) and HV9569C (5500K) E27 filament globes.
40 W is Havit's ceiling for the socket. The supplied lamp is 8 W, so there is plenty of headroom, and the lumen and beam figures on this page describe the supplied globe rather than a replacement.
Yes — Triac dimmable on both of Havit's documents for this model. It is only possible because this is a mains E27 lamp holder. Check that the replacement globe is itself dimmable, since the lamp is half of the equation.
Height changes where the light sits relative to planting and to eye line rather than how much of it there is. The globe is the same, so the output is the same; the taller post lifts the source clear of low shrubs and spreads its 120° wash over more ground.
No. It is IP65, but Havit explicitly says to avoid direct high-pressure water exposure from pressure washers or irrigation systems. IP65 covers jets rather than pressure washing, and irrigation aimed at the fitting is the common cause of ingress.
Havit states that aluminium fittings should not be installed within 5 km of saltwater environments, and this bollard is aluminium. The wording is "should not" rather than "must not", but nearer the sea you should be looking at 316 stainless instead.
