The Locu single is a 790 mm surface-mounted bollard with an adjustable head in poly powder coated black aluminium. That head is the point of it: most bollards throw a fixed wash, and this one swivels through 240° so you can aim a 90° beam at the path, the planting or the wall rather than accepting where the fitting happens to face.
It runs on 240 V AC and nothing else. There is one part number, HV1634T-BLK-240V, so there is no supply to choose and no LED driver anywhere in the system. It is Protection Class 1 and requires an earth: Havit's wiring order is earth first, then live and neutral. Where several run from one circuit they are wired in parallel. If you need a low-voltage bollard this is not it — that is a different range entirely, not a variant of this one.
The LED is built in — no lamp base, no globe, nothing to replace — so the numbers describe the fitting rather than a lamp. It draws 12 W and gives 590 lm at 3000K, 660 lm at 4000K and 610 lm at 5500K. 4000K is the brightest setting; output does not climb with colour temperature, so do not read the coolest setting as the strongest. Colour quality is CRI >80 with SDCM <6 binning, glare is UGR <19, and Havit rates lamp expectancy at >30,000hrs. It is not dimmable. The diffuser is glass, not a polymer — which is worth knowing on an aimable head, because glass does not yellow under UV the way an acrylic lens can.
It is surface mounted and IP65. The base plate must be fixed to concrete or a concrete pad, and the fitting must not be installed below ground level. Every hole including the cable entry has to be siliconed, silicone must be run around the fitting at ground level, and all o-rings and seals must be in place — Havit voids the warranty if any of that is skipped, and on an adjustable head the seal around the moving joint is exactly where water would get in. Installation must be by a qualified electrician to AS/NZS 3000.
Havit's instruction sheet states that aluminium and 304SS fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environments. This bollard is aluminium, so that applies to it directly. If you are inside that distance you want a 316 stainless fitting instead. Lights For You publishes these figures for HV1634T-BLK-240V from its own dated HV1634T SEP25 data sheet, the shared HV1634T/HV1635T installation instructions and Havit's own page for this model, which states a 3 Years Replacement Warranty.
You can aim it. The head swivels through 240°, and the beam it throws is 90°. That is the reason to choose this over a fixed bollard: you can point the light at a path edge or a garden bed and keep it out of a window or a sightline.
No. This listing sells one part number, HV1634T-BLK-240V, and it is 240 V AC only. There is no low-voltage variant of it and no LED driver involved. If you are building a garden run off a transformer, you need a different range.
Yes. It is Protection Class 1, so it must be earthed, and Havit's sequence is earth first, then live and neutral. It has to be installed by a qualified electrician to AS/NZS 3000.
No — it is built in, with no lamp base and no globe. Havit rates it at >30,000hrs lamp expectancy. That is the trade for a sealed IP65 body, and it is worth knowing before you buy rather than after.
4000K, at 660 lm. The set is 590 lm at 3000K, 660 lm at 4000K and 610 lm at 5500K — output peaks in the middle and then falls, which is the opposite of what most people assume.
No. Both of Havit's documents for this model state Dimmable: No, and with a built-in LED there is no globe to substitute for a dimmable one.
Havit rules it out: aluminium and 304SS fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environments, and this fitting is aluminium. It is a warranty condition, not a suggestion. Inside that distance, specify 316 stainless.
