This is the 5 W Liueg, a 590 mm spike-mounted garden bollard in poly powder-coated black aluminium, with a sealed built-in LED behind a Perspex diffuser. It is the middle rung of three: enough light to make a path genuinely usable after dark, without the reach of the largest size.

Low voltage, and it needs a driver

It runs on 24 V DC from a suitable 24 V DC LED driver. Do not connect it directly to 240 V. Havit rates it Protection Class 3 — low voltage, no earth required — so the only wiring that reaches the garden is extra-low-voltage cable, and the driver lives somewhere dry. 1000 mm of cable is supplied with the fitting.

Output, and which setting is the brightest

The tri-colour LED offers 3000K, 4000K and 5500K, and Havit pairs them with 330 lm, 355 lm and 335 lm. ⚠ 4000K is the brightest of the three, not the coolest setting — worth knowing, because the instinct is usually the other way round. The beam is 120°, colour rendering is CRI >80, and lamp expectancy is >30,000hrs. At 5 W this puts out roughly three times the light of the smallest fitting in the same range.

Weather and knocks: IP65 and IK08

The body is IP65 against rain and hose spray, and IK08 is a solid impact class for something standing in a garden bed where a mower or a wheelbarrow passes. It is not dimmable, so plan a switched circuit.

Mounting, and what Havit does and does not publish

It comes for ground spike mounting. For a hard surface, this model's own data sheet lists the HV151-BLK-BASE surface mounting base, which we stock and whose description covers this fitting. ⚠ One thing to be aware of when you are planning a run of these: Havit publishes no installation sheet for this model — a data sheet only. The neighbouring 24 V spike range does have one, and it attaches warranty conditions about how far a fitting may sit from its driver and how connections must be sealed. Those conditions are not stated for this fitting, so ask us rather than assuming they carry across. Every figure on this page was taken by Lights For You from Havit's own data sheet for HV1522T and from its product page for this part number, which states a 3 Years Replacement warranty.

Questions
Can it be wired straight into a household circuit?

No. It is 24 V DC and needs a suitable 24 V DC LED driver. Do not connect it directly to 240 V.

Does it need an earth?

No — Protection Class 3, low voltage, no earth required. The supply connection happens at the driver, not at the fitting.

Which setting is the brightest?

4000K, at 355 lm. The others are 330 lm at 3000K and 335 lm at 5500K.

How does it compare with the other sizes in this range?

This is the middle one. The same shape is made in a smaller version at around a third of this output, and a larger one well above it. All three take the same driver arrangement.

Can I surface-mount it instead of using the spike?

Yes. Havit lists the HV151-BLK-BASE surface mounting base on this model's data sheet, and we stock it separately.

How much cable is supplied?

1000 mm of cable. Position a connection point within that distance — an extension means a joint in the ground.

Is there an installation sheet for it?

No. Havit publishes a data sheet only for this model. The neighbouring 24 V spike range has an installation sheet with additional warranty conditions, and those are not stated for this fitting.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations
