A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The 5 W Lindri is the one to specify when a shielded fitting still has to do real work. Its wider 110 mm head takes output to 220 lm at 3000K, 240 lm at 4000K and 230 lm at 5500K — close to three times the 3 W Lindri — while keeping the same hidden-source construction and the same UGR <19 glare rating. That combination is unusual and it is the reason this model exists: most ways of getting more light out of a garden bollard involve showing more of the LED.
As with the rest of the Lindri range, the black variant is aluminium with a poly powder-coated black finish and the antique brass variant is solid brass with an antique finish. The price difference is substantial and it is honest — you are buying a different material, not a different colour. Solid brass is the choice for a fitting you expect to outlast the planting around it; powder-coated aluminium is the sensible choice for a larger run where the budget has to go on numbers.
Havit's installation instructions for this model state that aluminium and antique brass fittings should not be installed within 5 km of salt water environments. Both variants on this page are covered by that restriction. It is a condition on the fitting rather than general advice, so if the site is anywhere near the coast this is the wrong range and we would rather say so before you order than afterwards.
Lights For You sells more of the black than the brass, but the brass is the one people come back and thank us for; ask and we will talk you through where each earns its price.
Roughly three times: 220 to 240 lm here against 80 to 90 lm. The head is wider at 110 mm, which is where the extra output comes from, and the shielded construction and UGR <19 glare rating are unchanged.
No. Havit lists the black as aluminium with a poly powder-coated finish and the antique brass as solid brass with an antique brass finish. That is what the price difference reflects. Output, ratings, height and fixing are identical between them.
No. Havit's installation instructions for this model state that aluminium and antique brass fittings should not be installed within 5 km of salt water environments, and that covers both finishes here. For a site near the coast you need a different material — talk to us before ordering.
No. It comes on a 210 mm spike that drives straight into soil, which is what makes a run of them easy to adjust once you have seen the effect at night. It belongs in a garden bed rather than in paving, where there is nothing for the spike to hold.
The head is 110 mm wide. Havit publishes two different figures for its height in the same document, so we are not going to quote one — if the exact height matters for your detail, ask us and we will get it confirmed rather than guess.
The plug-and-socket connector lets the fitting be replaced later without digging up the buried joint, and the anti-water syphon stops water travelling up the cable and reaching the LED. Havit voids the warranty if either is removed during installation.
No. It needs 24 V DC from a 24 V DC LED driver, with the supply within ±5%. A great deal of the Havit garden range is 12 V DC, so check what your existing driver actually is before adding this fitting to a run.
