A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Highlite 600 is a 600 mm surface-mounted bollard in poly powder-coated black aluminium, with a sealed tri-colour LED behind a frosted Perspex diffuser. It bolts to a hard surface rather than pushing into soil, and Havit sells it in two electrical forms.
Havit splits the protection class by supply. HV1625T-BLK-240V runs on 240 V AC mains, is Protection Class 1 and requires an earth — the installer connects the earth first, then live and neutral. HV1625T-BLK-24V is Protection Class 3, needs no earth, and must be run from a suitable 24 V DC LED driver. ⛔ Havit is explicit that it must not be connected direct to 240 V. Buy the part number matching the circuit you have.
The LED is a 24 W tri-colour built-in module, not user-replaceable — no globe, no lamp holder. ⚠ A second switch inside the head also sets it to 18 W. Havit's published figures are the 24 W ones — 1900 lm at 3000K, 1970 lm at 4000K and 2040 lm at 5500K, so 5500K is the brightest setting. ⛔ Havit's current documents publish no lumen figure for the 18 W setting, so treat every number here as the 24 W case only. Beam angle is 120°, CRI >80, SDCM <5, UGR <29, lamp expectancy >30,000hrs. It is not dimmable. Both switches sit under the head, reached by loosening the Allen screws in the side of the post; it ships set to 3000K.
The body is IP65 and IK08, a useful impact class at shin height. ⚠ It is aluminium, and Havit states that aluminium and 304 stainless fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environments — so this is not a coastal fitting whatever its weather rating says. On the 24 V DC version Havit also requires the voltage at the fitting to stay within ±5% of the rated supply, or the warranty is void.
It is surface mounted on a Ø113 mm base plate, supplied attached and released by removing the four Allen screws in the side of the post. ⛔ Each of Havit's conditions is a warranty condition: the base plate must sit on concrete or a concrete pad and must not be installed below ground level; every hole in the base plate, including the cable entry, must be siliconed, with silicone also run around the fitting at ground level; the supplied screws are mild steel and must be replaced with a higher grade wherever water can reach them; and a non-circular cable must be fixed at the gland or the IP rating and the warranty are both lost. Keep all o-rings and seals seated and use all four fixing holes. Havit lists the HV1607 bollard spike for soft ground and the HV162X-CI anchor bolt set for hard surfaces; both are stocked here. This is fixed wiring: a licensed electrician to AS/NZS 3000 must install it with the circuit isolated, wired in parallel. Every figure here was taken by Lights For You from Havit's current data sheet and its dated February 2022 installation instructions for HV1625T and HV1626T, both stating a 3 Years Replacement warranty.
It depends which part number you buy, and on this model that is a real difference rather than a detail. HV1625T-BLK-240V is Protection Class 1 and requires an earth — Havit's own sequence is to connect the earth first, then live and neutral. HV1625T-BLK-24V is Protection Class 3 and needs no earth.
A suitable 24 V DC LED driver, which is not supplied. ⛔ Havit states plainly that the fitting must not be connected direct to 240 V. Havit also requires the voltage arriving at the fitting to stay within ±5% of the rated supply, or the warranty is void.
A switch inside the head selects one or the other. ⛔ Havit publishes lumen figures only for 24 W — the 1900 / 1970 / 2040 lm quoted on this page. Its current documents give no output figure for the 18 W setting, so we do not quote one either. If light level matters to the design, specify 24 W and leave the switch alone.
5500K, at 2040 lm. The others are 1900 lm at 3000K and 1970 lm at 4000K. Output climbs with colour temperature on this fitting — which is not true of every Havit bollard, so check per product rather than assuming.
No. Havit states that aluminium and 304 stainless fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environments, and this body is aluminium. For a coastal site, look at a non-metal bollard instead.
Not as supplied — it is a surface-mounted fitting and its base plate must sit on concrete or a concrete pad, never below ground level. Havit does list the HV1607 bollard spike as the accessory for a soft-ground installation, and we stock it.
Four, and Havit names each of them: installing the base plate below ground level or on anything other than concrete; failing to silicone every hole, the cable entry and around the fitting at ground level; leaving a non-circular cable unfixed at the gland, which loses the IP rating; and leaving the supplied mild steel screws in place where water can reach them instead of upgrading them.
