A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Drique RGBCW is a 1 W garden marker on a 210 mm spike that does colour as well as white — a slim Ø16 mm aluminium tube, poly powder-coated black, 600 mm overall. This listing is the single fitting, and Havit's own description of this part number is “to be added to 5 light kit”.
Havit is explicit that this fitting must be used with a suitable 24 V DC LED driver and with a suitable RGBCW controller. Neither is supplied with this part number. Both ship with the five-light kit, HV1514RGBCW-BLK-KIT, and Havit's installation sheet says you can add up to five more fittings to that kit's driver and controller using this exact part. Bought alone it is an extension to a kit, or a fitting for a 24 V DC RGBCW system you already run. Never connect it directly to 240 V, and note that it is 24 V DC, not the 12 V DC used by much of the Havit garden range — the two cannot share a supply.
Havit specifies the engine as RGBCW — red, green and blue plus 3000K and 5500K white. That is the reason to choose it over the tri-colour Drique: you get a warm and a cool white for everyday use and full colour when you want it, from one 1 W fitting. Everything — colour, white, dimming and the effect modes — is selected at the controller, through the app or the IR remote; there is nothing to set on the fitting.
Output is 30–35 lm from a 1 W built-in LED, sealed and not replaceable. This is a marker rather than a path light: it draws the line of a bed or a step edge instead of lighting the ground. Beam angle is 120°, colour rendering CRI >80, colour consistency SDCM <6, glare UGR <29, and lamp expectancy >30,000hrs*. It is supplied with a short and a long Perspex lens, which change the spread rather than the brightness, and the tail is a 2000 mm cable. Multiple fittings are wired in parallel.
Havit's installation instructions for this model are unusually specific, and every one of these is a warranty condition rather than advice. Every electrical connection must be watertight, and no connection may be submerged. The voltage at the fitting must stay within ±5% of the rated supply and the fitting cannot be installed more than 25 m from its LED driver — on a long low-voltage run of small fittings that is usually the constraint that bites first. All o-rings and seals must be correctly in place. And do not force the head past its stop when aiming it: Havit warns that continuing to rotate tangles the internal cable and shorts the fitting, and voids the warranty.
The body is IP65 and IK08, installed ground — spike, and the fitting is Protection Class 3, low voltage, no earth required. ⚠ It is aluminium, and Havit states that aluminium and 304 stainless fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environments — so this is not a coastal fitting whatever its weather rating says. Installation is fixed wiring: Havit requires a licensed electrician working to AS/NZS 3000, with the circuit isolated first. Havit lists the HV1514RGBCW-EXT 1500 mm extension cable for stretching the distance between two fittings, and we stock it. Warranty is 3 Years Replacement*. Lights For You took every figure here from Havit's current HV1514RGBCW data sheet, its October 2025 installation instructions and Havit's own listing for HV1514RGBCW-BLK-24V.
Two things, and Havit names both: a suitable 24 V DC LED driver and a suitable RGBCW controller. Neither is supplied with this part number. Both come with the five-light kit, HV1514RGBCW-BLK-KIT — and Havit’s installation sheet says up to five more fittings can be added to that kit’s driver and controller using this part.
Havit specifies it as RGBCW — red, green and blue plus 3000K and 5500K white. So it covers a warm white, a cool white and full colour. All of it is selected at the controller, through the app or the IR remote.
No. It is 24 V DC and needs a 24 V DC LED driver. Much of the Havit garden range is 12 V DC and the two cannot share a supply. Havit also states plainly that the fitting must not be connected direct to 240 V.
No more than 25 m, with the voltage at the fitting inside ±5% of the rated supply. Havit voids the warranty outside that allowance, so on a long run this is the number that decides where the driver goes — not the cable you have spare. The HV1514RGBCW-EXT 1500 mm extension cable extends the distance between two fittings.
No. Havit states that aluminium and 304 stainless fittings must not be installed within 5 km of any salt water environments, and this body is aluminium. For a coastal site choose a fitting rated for it rather than relying on the IP65.
Not on its own. At 30–35 lm it is a marker — it shows where the edge of a bed or a step is, rather than lighting the ground you walk on. Use more of them at a closer pitch, or pair them with something larger for the surface itself.
No. It is a sealed built-in LED — no globe to buy, no lamp holder to corrode. Havit rates it at >30,000hrs* and covers the fitting for 3 Years Replacement*.
