Straton Gypsum Indoor Wall

The Straton is a two-light gypsum wall fitting, 300 mm wide and only 65 mm high, with a sand finish and curved edges.

Two lights, where the others have one

Telbix makes four gypsum wall lights and this is the only two-globe one. Two sources across 300 mm give a broader, more even band of light than a single G9 can — and it means the Straton can genuinely light a corridor where the single-globe Ovita, Tolard and Desota are accent fittings.

Gypsum takes paint

Plaster, so it can be painted in your wall colour and disappear into the surface, reading as a shaped aperture of light rather than a fitting. That is the whole reason to specify a plaster wall light, and no metal or glass fitting can do it.

Curved edges, not a hard rectangle

Where the Tolard and Desota are strict rectangles, the Straton's edges are softened. Painted out, that curve reads as a moulded recess rather than a box on the wall — a subtler effect in a room with no other hard geometry.

Wide and very shallow

300 mm wide, 65 mm high, 105 mm projection. Low and horizontal, so it draws a broad band along the wall.

Two G9 globes, not supplied

G9 is a small bi-pin capsule, not interchangeable with any screw base. Take both from one batch — on a two-light fitting a colour mismatch shows immediately.

• Architectural interiors where the fitting should not be seen.

300 mm wide, 65 mm high, 105 mm projection, in gypsum with a sand finish and curved edges. Two G9 globes to 9 W each, not supplied. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
