The Ovita is a gypsum wall light — 90 mm high, 0.8 kg, taking a single G9 globe.
This is the point of the fitting. Gypsum is plaster, and it takes paint the same way your wall does. Paint it in the wall colour and it disappears into the surface, reading as a shaped recess of light rather than a fitting hung on the wall. That is an effect no metal or glass wall light can produce, and it is why architects specify plaster fittings.
Unpainted, the raw white gypsum has a soft matt surface quite unlike painted metal — closer to the wall than to a light fitting even before you touch it.
90 mm high, 0.8 kg. It sits close and quiet. Used in a run along a corridor, the effect is a rhythm of light on the wall rather than a row of objects.
9 W maximum. G9 is a small bi-pin capsule, not interchangeable with any screw base. ⚠ Our two sources disagree on whether the light source is replaceable — we tell you to buy a globe, because arriving with one you did not need is better than arriving without one you did.
Class I — hard-wired, earth required. And plaster is brittle: it should be handled carefully during installation and fixed into something solid.
90 mm high, 0.8 kg, in gypsum. One G9 globe to 9 W, not supplied. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You. Ask us before ordering if you need the light source confirmed — our sources describe it differently and we would rather check than have you buy the wrong globe.
Yes — that is the whole point. Gypsum is plaster and takes paint like your wall, so it can disappear into the surface entirely.
One G9 capsule up to 9 W, not supplied. Our sources disagree on whether the source is replaceable, so we tell you to buy a globe — ask us and we will confirm.
Plaster is brittle. Handle it carefully during installation and fix it into something solid.
90 mm high and 0.8 kg — small and light, so it sits quiet on the wall.
No. It is IP20, indoor and dry locations only.
No. It is Class I, hard-wired and requires an earth.
