The Mosari WB is a 140 mm wall light in matt gold or black with an opal glass shade — one G9 globe to 6 W, not supplied, projecting 148 mm at 0.36 kg.
⚠ The globe is G9, and our page said “G6”. There is no G6 lamp base. You need one G9 capsule to 6 W, and it is not supplied.
Buy an LED, not a halogen — halogen G9s run very hot inside an enclosed glass shade. Warm 2700 K: against matt gold, cool white reads green. And if you are fitting a pair, buy the two together.
This is a genuinely light wall fitting. For comparison, the Virell crystal wall light is 1.43 kg and the Brevan 0.8.
At 0.36 kg the Mosari fixes into plasterboard with an ordinary anchor — no noggin, no special provision, no structural question at all. Combined with its 140 mm width, that makes it usable in places heavier fittings are awkward:
⚠ No height is recorded in any source — on a wall light, where the vertical dimension decides how it sits against a bedhead, a mirror or a dado. Ask us and we will measure one. The backplate is 120 mm, close to the fitting's own 140 mm width, so on a replacement it covers most of what came off the wall.
The shade is opal, so it diffuses completely: the G9 capsule is invisible and there is no glare from any angle.
On a wall light at eye height that matters more than on a ceiling fitting. A clear or lightly frosted shade beside a bed or along a hallway puts a bright point directly in your sightline; the Mosari puts a soft glowing form there instead. That is what makes it usable in a bedroom, where most decorative wall lights are not.
Our range copy says “clear opal glass”, which is contradictory — clear reveals, opal diffuses. They are opal.
It dims, with the right globe. Our record says “No”; the datasheet and our own page both say globe dependent, and they are right — nothing in a fitting holding one G9 prevents it. Beside a bed, dimming is the whole point of a wall light: at full it is a reading light, low it is a night light. If you are fitting a pair, buy the two globes together and let us match them to your dimmer.
Mosari is made as a table lamp, this wall light, and two close-to-ceiling fittings — all in the same minimal metalwork and opal glass. The sentence saying so was cut off mid-word on every Mosari page. It is unusually complete for a range, and the natural scheme is the CTC7 in the living room, CTC3s in the hall, these on the bedroom walls and the table lamp beside the bed — one idea, four scales.
Class I — earth required, hard-wired, so a licensed electrician installs it, and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only, so not a bathroom. In iron and glass. (One of our data sources records the material as “[object Object]” — a software fault rather than a material. It is iron and glass.)
140 mm wide, projection 148 mm, backplate 120 mm, 0.36 kg, in iron and opal glass, matt gold or black. Height is not recorded — ask us. One G9 globe to 6 W, NOT supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
One G9 capsule to 6 W, not supplied. Our page said “G6”, and there is no such lamp base. Buy an LED rather than a halogen, because halogen G9s run very hot inside an enclosed glass shade, in warm 2700 K — cool white against matt gold reads green.
Nothing special — at 0.36 kg it goes into plasterboard with an ordinary anchor. For comparison, the Virell crystal wall light is 1.43 kg and the Brevan 0.8. That makes the Mosari usable on a plasterboard wall with nothing behind it, which rules out a good deal of this catalogue.
No source records it — on a wall light, where the vertical dimension decides how it sits against a bedhead, mirror or dado. Ask us and we will measure one.
Yes, and that is where it is best. The opal shade diffuses completely, so the capsule is invisible and there is no glare at eye height — where a clear or lightly frosted shade would put a bright point straight in your sightline. With a dimmable globe it is a reading light at full and a night light low.
With the right globe. Our record says “No”; the datasheet and our page both say globe dependent, and they are right. If you are fitting a pair, buy the two globes together and let us match them to your dimmer.
Mostly — the backplate is 120 mm against the fitting’s own 140 mm width, so it covers nearly the whole footprint. Measure what is on the wall first.
