The Lavis WB is a 100 mm wall light with a tapered ivory fabric shade, in nickel matt, antique gold or black — one E14 globe to 25 W, not supplied, 235 mm high and 0.6 kg.
It weighs 600 grams. That is what makes it useful. For comparison: the Mosari wall light is 0.36 kg, the Brevan 0.8, the Virell crystal twin 1.43, the gypsum Mazal 1.6.
At 0.6 kg the Lavis goes into plasterboard with an ordinary anchor — no noggin, no backing, no structural question — which opens up positions a heavier fitting cannot use:
⚠ No width is recorded in our data or on the page. The datasheet says 100 mm; our record carried only the height, and the page's dimensions gave height, backplate and projection.
On a fitting most people buy in pairs, either side of a bed, the width is exactly what decides the spacing and the setting-out. We have published the datasheet's 100 mm; ask us to confirm it before your electrician marks the wall.
The shade is fabric and tapered, in ivory, and on a wall light that combination does specific work:
All three pair the same ivory shade with a different metal, so the light is identical and only the frame changes:
One E14 to 25 W, not supplied. E14 is the small screw base, SES — a candle or golf-ball globe. Nothing shows through the fabric, so brightness and warmth are the only decisions. Use warm 2700 K; against antique gold especially, cool white reads green, and behind ivory it looks grey.
It dims, with the right globe. Our record says “No”; the datasheet and the page both say globe dependent, and they are right — there is nothing in a fitting holding one E14 to prevent it.
Beside a bed, that is most of the point of a wall light: at full it is a reading light, low it is a night light you can leave on. If you are fitting a pair, buy the two globes together and let us match them to your dimmer — two mismatched globes either side of a bed are obvious every evening.
Class I — earth required, hard-wired, so a licensed electrician installs it; IP20 — indoor and dry locations only, so not a bathroom. Backplate 80 mm, projection 140 mm, in iron and fabric.
100 mm wide (per the datasheet — confirm with us) by 235 mm high, projection 140 mm, backplate 80 mm, 0.6 kg, in iron and ivory fabric, nickel matt, antique gold or black. One E14 (SES) globe to 25 W, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Nothing special — at 0.6 kg it goes into plasterboard with an ordinary anchor. For comparison, the Virell crystal twin is 1.43 kg and the gypsum Mazal 1.6. That opens up positions a heavier fitting cannot use: a narrow strip of wall beside a bed with nothing behind it, a staircase, or a lightly built wall you would rather not open up.
The datasheet says 100 mm; our record carried only the height and the page gave height, backplate and projection but no width. On a fitting most people buy in pairs either side of a bed, the width is what decides the spacing — ask us to confirm before your electrician marks the wall.
It is one of the better choices here. The opaque tapered fabric shade hides the globe completely and throws light up and down rather than sideways, so there is no glare at eye height — and the taper puts more of it downward, onto a book or the bedside table.
With the right globe. Our record says “No”; the datasheet and page both say globe dependent, and they are right. Beside a bed that is most of the point of a wall light: at full a reading light, low a night light you can leave on. If you are fitting a pair, buy the two globes together — mismatched globes either side of a bed are obvious every evening.

All three pair the same ivory shade with a different metal, so the light is identical. Nickel matt is cool and quiet and recedes against a light wall. Antique gold is warm and traditional and the softest of the three with ivory. Black matt is graphic — a dark stem under a pale shade, a deliberate contrast rather than a fitting trying to disappear.
No — IP20, indoor and dry locations only.
