Product Description
xThe Kinso WB50 is a 500 mm pleated wall light with a central opal globe — one G9 globe to 6 W, not supplied — in antique copper, antique gold or antique silver.
The backplate is 120 mm, not 1,200. Our specification table said 1,200 mm — a 1.2-metre backplate on a 500 mm wall light, which is impossible. The 350 mm Kinso records 120 mm for the same part. A digit error, corrected.
Half a metre of pleated sunburst
The form is the product: a sculptural pleated surface radiating outward from a central illuminated globe. Light glows at the middle and rakes across the pleats, throwing alternating bright and shadowed rays to the rim. At 500 mm those rays are long enough to read as a deliberate pattern across a wall, which the 350 mm version only hints at. That, and not brightness, is the reason to choose the larger size.
Both sizes give exactly the same light. Same 6 W G9, same 120 mm opal shade, same 150 mm projection. Only the disc grows. So choose on the wall you are filling, not on output — a 500 mm disc wants a wall that can hold it.
The antique textured finishes are half the effect
Antique copper, gold or silver — all textured rather than polished. The texture varies how each pleat catches light, so at 500 mm the rays read as uneven and hand-made rather than machined. A polished disc this size would be a mirror on the wall; these are not.
⚠ It does not change colour. Our record carries a colour-changing flag against it. It takes one ordinary G9 globe and includes none.
150 mm projection, 1.7 kg
The projection carries the pleats clear of the wall so they catch light from the side — essential to the effect, and it means the Kinso is not a hallway or circulation fitting. At 1.7 kg it is nearly double the smaller version and worth a proper fixing rather than a plasterboard plug.
Any G9 will do
The globe sits behind a 120 mm opal shade, so it is hidden and even — the globe you buy affects brightness and warmth, not the look. Dimming is globe dependent: a dimmable G9 with a wall dimmer will dim it, and on a sunburst that is worth having, because at low output the rays are all you see.
It is Class I — earth required and hard-wired. A licensed electrician installs it.
Where it works
- Feature walls and above sideboards, where 500 mm has room.
- Flanking a fireplace or a bed head, in pairs.
- Rooms where the fitting is meant to be the object.
- ⚠ Not in a hallway — it projects 150 mm.
- ⚠ No brighter than the 350 mm — choose on the wall.

Questions
Is the backplate really 1.2 metres?

Is the 500 brighter than the 350?
No — exactly the same light. Same 6 W G9, same 120 mm opal shade, same 150 mm projection. Only the disc grows, so choose on the wall you are filling, not on output.
Then why choose the 500?
For the pattern. At 500 mm the rays are long enough to read as a deliberate sunburst across a wall, which the 350 only hints at.
Which finish should I choose?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
