Product Description
xThe Farnix WB is a 507 mm wall light with a curved arm and a tapered fabric shade in antique gold or matt nickel — one E14 globe to 25 W, not supplied.
⚠ It projects 254 mm — a quarter of a metre. That is the deepest wall light found anywhere in this catalogue: further out than the Radam's 180 mm, further than the largest Vexor exterior light at 211 mm, and more than three times the Rimini's 75 mm.
It decides where the fitting can go. On an open wall, above a bedhead, or beside a reading chair, a quarter-metre reach is the whole point — the shade sits out over you, which is why the light lands where you want it. In a hallway, a stairwell, a landing or any circulation route, it is something you will walk into. Measure the clearance first; for a passage, the Rimini projects 75 mm.
The curved arm is doing the work
The Farnix reaches out on a gently curved arm rather than a straight bracket, and that is what turns a wall light into something closer to a reading light: the shade ends up over the space beside the wall, not flat against it.
Combined with the 507 mm height, the shade sits above a seated head and slightly forward — the geometry of a bedside reading light that takes no table space at all. That is the case for choosing a wall light over a lamp, and it is worth making.
The tapered fabric shade
Fabric and opaque, so light goes down and up rather than sideways and the globe is hidden. The taper narrows the downward beam slightly, which concentrates it where the arm has placed it. Simple globe choice as a result — brightness and warmth only.
One E14 to 25 W, not supplied. E14 is the small screw base — a candle or golf-ball globe. Use warm 2700 K, particularly in antique gold, where cool white reads green.
Dimming depends on the globe. Our record says “No”; the datasheet says globe dependent, and the datasheet is right. Beside a bed, on a fitting reaching over you, dimming is well worth having. Ask us and we will match a pair.
Antique gold or matt nickel
Antique gold is the warmer, more traditional of the two — it reads as a classic bedroom or drawing-room fitting. Matt nickel is modern and understated, and being matt it does not catch reflections along the curve of the arm the way a polished finish would.
0.6 kilograms on a 120 mm backplate — light enough for plasterboard, though note that a 254 mm reach puts leverage on the fixing that a flat fitting does not. Use a proper anchor rather than a bare plug. It is Class I — earth required and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
