The Darien WB2 is a 320 mm two-light wall fitting with a Canadian ash outer ring and square-tube iron arms — two E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied.
Our product record carried no material field whatsoever, on a fitting whose timber ring is the entire design.
Canadian ash is a specific timber, and naming it matters: it is pale, straight-grained and open-pored, so it reads light and clean rather than dark and rustic. Against black square-tube iron, that gives the Darien its character — the copy calls it farmhouse, and the pairing of pale open-grain timber with hard black geometry is exactly what that means.
Because ash is a natural timber, the grain varies through every ring — no two are identical.
Our page was about to tell you what globe to fit, and got cut off. It said “The recommended candle globe light source crowns the perimeter, casting a warm, invit—”. That is worth completing, because almost no product in this catalogue makes a globe recommendation at all:
Ask us and we will supply a matched pair.
Roughly square, which suits a ring, at 1.3 kg — light enough for a plasterboard fixing. The 160 mm projection is moderate: enough for the ring to stand clear of the wall and read as a circle rather than a disc, and workable in a hallway, unlike the deeper decorative wall lights in this range.
Dimming depends on the globes. The datasheet says globe dependent and our record carries no value. On a fitting with two visible candle globes, dimming is what turns it from a light into a pair of small flames on a timber ring — well worth doing. Ask us and we will match a dimmable pair.
It is Class I — earth required and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only.
The wall light is designed as the companion to the Darien pendant — same ash ring, same square-tube iron. A pendant over the table with these on the wall is the intended scheme, and because the ring is the element you look at, the match is exact.
320 mm wide by 340 mm high, projection 160 mm, 1.3 kg, in Canadian ash and iron, wood and black. Two E14 globes to 25 W each — 50 W total, not supplied — candle shape recommended; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Candle-shaped E14 globes — our page was about to say so and was cut off mid-word. They sit upright on the ring, which is how the fitting is designed to read: a crown of small flames around a timber circle. A round golf-ball globe works electrically but breaks the line, and a squat capsule looks unfinished. Use warm 2700 K, and buy both together.
Yes — Canadian ash, a pale, straight-grained, open-pored timber that reads light and clean rather than dark and rustic. Our product record carried no material field at all, on a fitting whose timber ring is the entire design. The grain varies through every ring, so no two are identical.
Because the pairing is the character. Pale open-grain timber against hard black square-tube geometry is exactly what “farmhouse” means here — a darker or closed-grain timber would read as traditional rather than clean.
Yes — 160 mm is a moderate projection, enough for the ring to stand clear and read as a circle, and workable in a passage unlike the deeper decorative wall lights in this range.
With the right globes — the datasheet says globe dependent and our record carries no value. On a fitting with two visible candle globes, dimming turns it from a light into a pair of small flames on a timber ring. Well worth doing.
Yes — it is the companion to the Darien pendant, same ash ring and square-tube iron. A pendant over the table with these on the wall is the intended scheme, and because the ring is what you look at, the match is exact.
A plasterboard fixing is fine — 1.3 kg.
