Domus BF-7577 Raw Ceramic Interior Wall Light

The Domus BF-7577 is a 450 mm raw ceramic wall light — the widest in this group — taking one E27 lamp and supplied unpainted.

⭐ Nearly half a metre of wall from a single lamp

At 450 mm this is the widest single-lamp ceramic in the range, and that is the thing to weigh before buying it.

• ✅ A wide, soft band of light — one E27 behind a long aperture gives a gentler, more even wash than a small fitting straining to cover the same width.
• ⚠ The output has to spread further. Where a 200 mm fitting concentrates one lamp’s light, this one distributes it — so it reads as ambient rather than bright. Do not expect it to be a task light.
• ✅ Which is usually what you want on a big wall — a bright patch on a broad surface looks worse than an even one.
• ⚠ Give the lamp the output. An E27 LED at 10 W rather than 8 W is worth it across this width.

⛔ Two sources give two different maximum wattages

• The datasheet says 60 W. Our record says 20 W.
• ⭐ It is not a one-off: 11 of the 12 E27 raw ceramics in this range carry exactly this conflict. The exception, the BF-2440, has a sheet that genuinely reads “20 W CFL” — which looks like the source the other eleven were copied from.
• ✅ We work to the datasheet’s 60 W, and an E27 LED at 8–10 W sits comfortably under both readings anyway.
• ⚠ Ask us before a circuit-load calculation.

⛔ The height is not recorded

We hold the width (450 mm) and the projection (150 mm) and no height. We will not guess it. ⚠ The 150 mm projection is the deepest in this batch — combined with 450 mm of width, this is a substantial object on a wall, so measure the space properly. Ask us and we will measure a fitting.

Choosing the lamp — not supplied

• ✅ E27 LED, 10 W, 2700–3000 K, enclosed-rated.
• ⚠ Check it fits the cavity. E27 LEDs vary in length and girth; a compact globe is safer than a long candle or a large decorative shape.
• ✅ CRI ≥90 if the wall is a colour — more so here, because there is more wall in the light.
• ⛔ E27, not E14.

Where it works

• A broad living-room or hallway wall — this needs the width to look right.
• Above a bedhead, where a wide even wash and no visible lamp is exactly the brief.
• A stairwell landing with a generous wall.
• ⚠ Not on a narrow pier — 450 mm will overrun it.
• ⚠ Not on a poorly finished wall — and over 450 mm, every ripple shows.
