The Domus BF-7310 is a 230 mm raw ceramic wall light taking one E27 lamp — the standard large screw base, not the small one — supplied unpainted.

Our product record 20 W
  • ⭐ We checked whether this was a one-off, and it is not. Across the twelve E27 raw ceramics in this range, eleven record 20 W against a datasheet saying 60 W.
  • ⭐ The twelfth explains the other eleven. The BF-2440’s datasheet genuinely reads “20 W CFL” — a compact-fluorescent figure. That one real 20 W appears to have been copied across the whole E27 sub-range.
  • ✅ So the datasheet’s 60 W is the figure we would work to, and the 20 W looks like another fitting’s number.
  • ✅ It changes nothing in practice. An E27 LED at 8–10 W gives more light than a 60 W incandescent ever did and sits under both readings.
  • ⚠ If you are calculating a circuit load, ask us to confirm with Domus first.
⛔ The height is not recorded

Our record holds the width (230 mm) and the projection (130 mm), and no height. We will not guess it — on a wall light that is the dimension that decides clearance. Ask us and we will measure one.

⚠ The 130 mm projection is worth noting on its own: this fitting stands well off the wall, so check it against passing traffic in a corridor.

Choosing the lamp — not supplied
  • ✅ E27 LED, 8–10 W, 2700–3000 K, rated for enclosed fixtures.
  • ⚠ Check the lamp fits. E27 LEDs vary a great deal in length and girth, and a ceramic shell has a fixed cavity. A compact globe shape is the safe choice over a long candle or a large decorative one.
  • ✅ CRI ≥90 if the wall is a colour.
  • ⛔ E27, not E14. The large screw base — the small one will not fit.

Questions
Is the maximum 20 watts or 60 watts?

The datasheet says 60W and our product record says 20W, and we would rather show you that than pick one silently. We checked whether it was a one-off: across the twelve E27 raw ceramics in this range, eleven record 20W against a sheet saying 60W. The twelfth — the BF-2440 — has a sheet that genuinely reads "20W CFL", which looks like the source the other eleven were copied from. So we would work to the datasheet's 60W. In practice it does not constrain you: an E27 LED at 8–10W outperforms a 60W incandescent and sits under both figures.

Does the wattage question affect what I should buy?

No. An 8–10W E27 LED is well under both readings and gives more light than the 60W incandescent this fitting was designed around. The only case where the answer matters is a circuit-load calculation across many fittings — if that is what you are doing, ask us and we will get the figure confirmed with Domus first.

How tall is it?

Our record does not hold a height, and we will not publish a guess — on a wall light it is the dimension that decides clearance under a rail, a door head or a cornice. We do have 230mm wide and a 130mm projection. Ask us and we will measure a physical fitting.

Will any E27 globe fit?

The base will, but the body might not. E27 LEDs vary a lot in length and girth and a ceramic shell has a fixed cavity, so a long candle or a big decorative globe can foul it. Choose a compact globe shape, or send us the lamp you have in mind and we will check the dimensions against the fitting.

Is it E27 or E14?

E27 — the large screw base. E14 is the small one and the two do not interchange, so it is worth checking what is in your hand before you drive to the shop.

How far does it stand off the wall?

130mm, which is one of the deeper projections in this ceramic range. In a living room or stairwell that is an advantage — it carries the light further across the ceiling. In a narrow corridor it is enough to catch a shoulder, so measure the passage first.

Can it go in a bathroom?

No. Raw ceramic is porous until painted and the fitting is rated for indoor dry use only. For a bathroom, ask us for something with an IP rating suited to the zone.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
