Dmonus BF-2440 Raw Ceramic Interior Wall Light

The Domus BF-2440 is a raw ceramic wall uplight made in Italy, 300 mm wide, 280 mm high and 100 mm deep, taking a single E27 lamp and designed to be painted to match the wall.

It is meant to disappear

• ⚠ Check the projection on a narrow hallway or stairwell — 100 mm from the wall is enough to catch a shoulder on a landing or a tight corridor.
• ✅ The greater height suits a taller wall: a short fitting on a stairwell wall throws a wash that stops too low.
• ⚠ Ceramic chips. Handle it before painting, not after, and keep it clear of corridors where furniture gets carried past at shoulder height.

Choosing the lamp

• ✅ An LED E27 at 9–11 W is the sensible choice — cool-running, and it removes the wattage question.
• ✅ Choose a high-CRI lamp if the wall is a colour. A cheap E27 will flatten a painted wall; CRI ≥90 will not.
• ⚠ An opal lamp, not a clear filament one. The fitting throws light upward and the lamp sits in an open shell; a clear globe will put a bright point on the ceiling.
