LRF-T45 Retro Vintage Filament Amber Globe

The Domus LRF-T45 is a 3.5 W retro filament globe in the mini banana (T45) shape — 1800 K amber, 120 lumens, Ø45 mm, dimmable, in E27 or B22.

✅ The T45 “mini banana” — a shape that changes where it can go

The T45 is a slim tubular globe, Ø45 mm and about 110 mm long — quite different from the big spheres in the same range:

• ✅ It fits where a sphere will not. A Ø95 mm G95 needs an open fitting; a 45 mm tube goes into narrow cages, slim pendants, wall sconces and multi-lamp fittings where a large globe would foul the shade.
• ✅ The filament runs the length of the tube, so what you see is a vertical line of amber light rather than a glowing ball. In a cluster of several, that reads as a very different fixture from the same cluster with spheres.
• ✅ It suits multi-lamp fittings — a chandelier or a bar pendant with six or eight heads is where the slim shape and the low output work together: eight of these is 960 lm and a lot of visible filament.

1800 K — and what that looks like

Every standard globe in this catalogue offers 2700 K as its warmest. 1800 K is a whole step warmer again: the colour of a candle flame or an early carbon-filament lamp, reading distinctly orange-gold rather than white.

• ✅ On brass, copper, aged timber and dark interiors it is exactly right — and in a bar, restaurant or snug it does something no 2700 K globe can.
• ⚠ In a white or grey room it will look wrong. The amber cast fights cool surfaces and can read as dirty rather than warm.

Dimming, and one thing to check

Fully dimmable with a suitable dimmer. Dimming pushes a 1800 K globe further into amber, and at about 30% these are close to candlelight.

⚠ 3.5 W is a very low load. On its own it may fall below the minimum some dimmers need to run smoothly — which shows as flicker at the bottom of the range. ✅ In a multi-lamp fitting that problem largely disappears, because six or eight globes together present a sensible load. Tell us the dimmer and how many globes are on the circuit.

The rest of the retro range

The same 1800 K filament comes as Banana (T30), Mini Banana (T45, this one), Pear (ST64), G95 sphere and G125 sphere, in E27 and B22.

✅ Mixing shapes across one run is a deliberate look and it works because the colour and brightness match exactly — a bar with alternating tubes and spheres reads as designed rather than as leftovers. Ask us for a mixed set.

• Multi-lamp fittings — chandeliers and bar pendants with six or eight heads.
• Narrow cages, slim pendants and wall sconces, where a sphere will not fit.
• Bars, restaurants, snugs and dark interiors.
• ⚠ Not a light source — pair it with something that lights the room.
• ⚠ Wrong in a white or grey room — the amber fights cool surfaces.

T45 mini banana, Ø45 mm × about 110 mm (our record holds 106 mm and 112 mm). 3.5 W LED filament (our record says 2.3 W) giving 120 lm at 1800 K — an amber, candle-like colour. 360° emission, fully dimmable with a suitable dimmer (⚠ 3.5 W may be below some dimmers' minimum load on its own).
