Common questions
Why does CRI 90 matter?

Above 90, colours read as themselves. On joinery, artwork or a stone splashback the difference from a CRI 80 fitting is immediately visible.

Do I need a separate driver?

No. It is supplied with its own remote LED driver.

Can it touch ceiling insulation?

Yes. It is IC-4 rated, so it may sit in contact with insulation.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, with a triac dimmer. Check your dimmer is LED-compatible or it may buzz.

Is it weatherproof?

IP54 to the front face only. Suitable for sheltered positions, not exposed or wet areas.

What light output does it give?

240–270 lm from 3 W with a 45° beam — accent light, not room light.

mini downlight

Managed to find a mini downlight for my specific use. The size worked out great - 38mm cutout, to sit inside a tight curved arch. Also allowing an mini transformer to fit through the 38mm hole - plug didn’t though. I fed another plug and lead that was longer from the other direction.
