UPTON EXTERIOR CTC

The Upton CTC is a 340 mm exterior close-to-ceiling fitting — the same body also mounts as a wall light — taking one E27 globe, rated IP44, in black.

It works on a ceiling or a wall

That is the useful part. The Upton is sold as a close-to-ceiling fitting and a wall light using the same body, so you can put the same fitting on a porch ceiling and beside the door and have them match exactly — rather than hunting for a wall light that nearly goes with your ceiling light.

Close-to-ceiling is what a covered entry usually needs

Under a verandah, a carport or a porch, headroom is often limited and a hanging fitting is in the way. A CTC sits tight against the ceiling and lights the whole space below without anything to walk into.

Light, in polycarbonate

0.51 kg, and nothing corrodes — no rust bleeding down a porch ceiling, no weeping fixings after two summers. On a ceiling in particular, weight and corrosion are the two things that cause trouble later.

Double insulated

Class II — no earth required, so fewer connections to make and fewer to corrode.

One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied

An ordinary replaceable globe — you choose the brightness and colour temperature, and change them later. Dimming is globe dependent.

Generous for a CTC

205 mm wide, 340 mm tall, canopy 110 × 20 mm. Substantial enough to hold a porch ceiling on its own rather than looking undersized.
