This is an 8 W E27 LED globe in the G125 shape — a 125 mm glass sphere, which is a decorative globe rather than a standard one. It is TRIAC dimmable.

G125 is a globe you are meant to see

At ø125 mm this is far larger than an ordinary lamp — it is designed for open fittings where the globe is part of the look: a cage pendant, a bare-flex pendant, a clear-glass wall light. In a shaded fitting most of that size is wasted, and it may not physically fit.

Check it fits before you order

125 mm across and 165 mm long. That is a big lamp. Measure the fitting — particularly the distance from the lampholder to the glass on any enclosed shade.

Dimmable, and warm or cool

It dims on a standard TRIAC dimmer, giving 800 lm at 3000 K or 820 lm at 4000 K, with CRI above 80. Warm white for a living or dining space; 4000 K where you want the light neutral rather than cosy. Choose by order code — it is not switchable.

Where it works
  • Open cage and geometric pendants, where the globe is visible.
  • Bare-flex and cord-set pendants.
  • Clear-glass wall and table lights.
  • Anywhere a decorative globe is wanted with LED efficiency and dimming.
Specifying it

E27 base, ø125 mm × 165 mm, weighing 0.13 kg, in glass. 8 W, 800–820 lm, CRI >80, TRIAC dimmable. 240 V. Warranty is three years.

Supplied and supported by Lights For You. Confirm your dimmer is TRIAC — the wrong dimmer type is the usual cause of flicker and buzz on an LED globe.

Questions
How big is it?

ø125 mm and 165 mm long — much larger than an ordinary globe. Measure your fitting before ordering.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, on a TRIAC dimmer. Confirm your dimmer is TRIAC — the wrong type causes flicker and buzz.

What colour temperatures are there?

Two, chosen by order code: 3000 K warm white at 800 lm, or 4000 K at 820 lm. It is not switchable.

What fittings suit it?

Open fittings where the globe is seen — cage pendants, bare-flex pendants, clear-glass wall lights. In a shaded fitting the size is wasted.

What base does it take?

E27 — the standard large screw base.

What is the CRI?

Above 80.

What is the warranty?

Three years.
