The Domus TWIN-SPOT-EM is a wall-mounted twin-spot LED emergency light in white or black — two adjustable 2.5 W heads, IP65, a LiFePO₄ battery, and compliance to AS/NZS 2293.3.

This is a life-safety fitting, and it works differently from a normal light. It runs in non-maintained operation: the heads are off in normal use and come on only when mains power fails, running from the internal battery.

That is why it looks unlit on a wall — it is not faulty; it is waiting.

What the specification actually commits to
  • Emergency duration: 2 to 3 hours depending on the setting. ⚠ AS/NZS 2293 requires 90 minutes minimum for emergency lighting, so this exceeds it — but your certifier designs and signs off the scheme, not a product page.
  • Charge time: 16 to 24 hours. ⚠ That matters after an outage: a fitting that has just discharged is not fully ready again for up to a day.
  • Manual test switch and an LED indicator — ✅ which is what makes routine testing practical. AS/NZS 2293.2 requires periodic discharge testing, and a fitting without a test facility makes that a much larger job.
  • LiFePO₄ battery, easily replaceable. ✅ The battery is the part of any emergency fitting that fails first, and one that can be changed gives the fitting a far longer service life than one replaced whole.
  • 0–40 °C operating range — ⚠ check that against an unconditioned warehouse roof space in an Australian summer.

  • Two independently aimable heads mean you can cover two directions from one fitting — an aisle and a doorway, or a walkway and a stair head.
  • In a warehouse or plant room, where the hazards are specific, aiming beats a general wash: you light the route and the obstacle, not the ceiling.
  • ⚠ Aim them as part of commissioning, with the certifier present, and check the result with the mains off. That is the only condition in which they will ever operate.

  • Output: our record says 200 lm; the datasheet says 300 lm. On an emergency fitting, output feeds directly into a compliance calculation — it is not a preference. Ask us to confirm before a project is certified.
  • Frequency: the datasheet records 60 Hz. Australia runs at 50 Hz. That is either a specification error or a figure carried across from another market. It is very unlikely to affect a modern electronic charger, but on a compliance fitting we would rather flag it than let it pass. Ask us.

IP65 — dust tight and protected against water jets. That is a genuinely useful rating on an emergency fitting: it allows washdown areas, covered loading docks, plant rooms and undercroft car parks, where a standard emergency light would not last.

6500 K — a cold white, which is correct here: in an emergency you want maximum contrast and visibility, not warmth. Warranty 3 years.

Why is it not lit?

Because it is non-maintained: the heads are off in normal use and come on only when mains power fails, running from the internal battery. A fitting sitting dark on a wall is waiting, not faulty.

How long does it run in an outage?

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
