DOMUS SHADOW 1LT ADJ 240V GU10

The Domus SHADOW 1LT ADJ is a single-head adjustable exterior wall light — IP65, 90° tilt and 270° swivel, taking one GU10 lamp to 35 W, in black, copper, stainless steel or titanium silver.

✅ One head, and 270° of swivel — the combination that suits a corner

A single adjustable head is a more useful fitting than it sounds:

• ✅ 270° of swivel means it can aim ALONG a wall, not just out from it. On a corner, one fitting can light either elevation; beside a door, it can wash the door rather than the garden.
• ✅ 90° of tilt takes it from straight down to straight up — a downward pool on a path, or a single wash up a façade.
• ✅ One head where one is enough. Twin fittings aimed at the same place waste half the light and half the money.
• ⚠ Aim it at night, from where people actually stand.

Choosing the GU10 — this is the whole design decision

• Narrow beam (25–36°) — a tight, dramatic cone with a sharp edge. Architectural: right for grazing a textured wall or picking out a feature.
• Wide beam (60°+) — a soft pool that lights a surface evenly. Practical: right beside a door or over a path.
• Warm 2700–3000 K on brick, stone, timber and warm render; 4000 K only on grey or white modern surfaces.
• ⚠ Use the same lamp across every fitting on a façade. Mixed beam angles on one wall are instantly visible.
• ⚠ Outdoor-rated GU10s, and check dimmability if you want it — the fitting has none of its own.

Mounting it

• Close to the wall if you are grazing a surface — the closer it sits, the more texture appears in brick, stone or render.
• Around 1.8–2 m beside a door, so the pool lands where it is useful.
• ✅ In a rhythm along a façade, evenly spaced, if you are using several.
• ⚠ At 190 mm high and 175 mm out it is a compact fitting — check the projection against a narrow path or a gate swing.

Finishes — and two are chosen for the site, not the look

• Black — the default; disappears at night.
• ✅ 316-grade stainless — for coastal and exposed sites, where a powder-coated finish eventually fails at the coating edges.
• ✅ Copper — unusual, and it weathers: bright at first, then darkening and patinating. Buy it knowing that.
• Titanium silver — a contemporary neutral.

⚠ There is no white on this listing, though the twin-head SHADOW ADJ offers one.

⚠ Twelve variants, and three of them need explaining

The listing runs to four finishes × TRIO, 3000 K and 5000 K. On a fitting that takes replaceable GU10 lamps and includes none, a colour-designated variant is unusual. Tell us which variant you are considering and we will confirm exactly what is supplied before you order — we would rather check than assume.
