Domus LYNX 5W TRIO LED IP54 12/24V 175mm Long

The Domus LYNX 5 W is a surface-mounted single-emitter wall or step light — 175 mm long, IP54, tri-colour switchable, CRI ≥90, and dimmable. 12 or 24 V DC — a driver is required.

⛔ Its title says 5 W. Its datasheet says 7 W. And this is the second time

• ⭐ The lumen figures settle it both times. ≈74 lm/W sits squarely inside the LYNX range's 62–82 band — ⛔ where 516 lm at 5 W would be 103 lm/W, ⚠ outside anything else in the family.
• ⭐ So BOTH single-emitter LYNX sizes understate their wattage in the title, and by the same 2 W.
• ✅ We have published 7 W. ⭐ Size the driver on 7 W per fitting, not 5. ⚠ On a run of eight that is 56 W rather than 40 — enough to move you from a 60 W driver to a 100 W one.
• ⭐ Tell us if you need it confirmed with Domus before a large order.

⛔ It is 12/24 V DC, and its record says 240 V AC

• ⛔ voltage = 240V, ac_dc = AC; ✅ the datasheet says 12–24 V DC and requires a constant-voltage driver, wired in parallel.
• ⚠ This fitting must not be connected to mains. ⭐ 12 Domus fittings sold as 12 V or 24 V carry the same wrong figure.
• ✅ A 240 V version of this fitting exists — ⛔ and it is not dimmable.

⭐ Single emitter at 175 mm — the middle of the downward-only range

• 464 lm at 3000 K, 495 at 4000 K, 516 at 5000 K.
• ⭐ Roughly a third more light than the 115 mm single, over a 60 mm longer body.
• ⭐ Single emitter means one direction — ⭐ which is what a step riser, a low kerb, a free-standing edge or the top of a retaining wall actually needs, and where a twin fitting's up-light simply lights the sky.
• ⭐ At 175 mm it covers a wider step or a broader path edge than the 115 mm without becoming a fixture.

⭐ CRI ≥90 shows on the paving

CRI ≥90, where most of this catalogue is ≥80. ⚠ Measured: 100 of 282 Domus products stating a CRI reach 90 — 35%, ⭐ a substantial minority clustered in strips, step lights and exterior wall lights. ⭐ On a downward-only fitting the walking surface is the ONLY thing it lights, so colour rendering is the whole result — ⭐ sandstone, travertine, warm pavers and timber decking go flat and grey at CRI 80 and hold their colour at 90.

• Wider step risers and path edges — ⭐ where the 115 mm is too small.
• Free-standing edges and retaining wall tops.
• Runs on one driver, wired in parallel and dimmed together.
• ⚠ Not against a wall you want washed — ⭐ a twin-emitter LYNX does that.
• ⛔ Not on mains, despite the record.
