Domus LYNX 3W TRIO LED IP54 12/24V 115mm Long

The Domus LYNX 3 W is a surface-mounted single-emitter wall or step light — 115 mm long, IP54, tri-colour switchable, CRI ≥90, and dimmable. 12 or 24 V DC — a driver is required.

• The title says 3 W; the datasheet says 5 W, and both describe the same SKU.
• ⭐ The output figures decide it. 378 lm at 5 W is ≈76 lm/W — ⭐ squarely in line with the rest of the LYNX range (62–82). ⛔ 378 lm at 3 W would be 126 lm/W, ⚠ far outside anything else in the family and implausible for a fitting of this type.
• ✅ So we have published 5 W, and ⭐ you should size a driver and a circuit on 5 W, not 3.
• ⚠ On a run of eight that is 40 W rather than 24 — enough to matter when choosing a driver.
• ⭐ Tell us if you need it confirmed with Domus before a large order.

⭐ One emitter, not two — and that is the right choice more often than the range suggests

• ⭐ The twin-emitter LYNX throws light up AND down. This one does a single direction.
• ⭐ Which is what you want wherever there is nothing above to light: a step riser, a low kerb, a free-standing edge, the top course of a retaining wall.
• ⚠ On those positions the up-light of a twin fitting is simply wasted — it lights the sky, and you have paid for an emitter that does nothing.
• ⭐ None of the twin listings makes that distinction, so the single-emitter versions are easy to overlook. ⭐ They are the better buy in a large number of real positions.
• 318 lm at 3000 K, 363 at 4000 K, 378 at 5000 K.

⛔ It is 12/24 V DC, and its record says 240 V AC

• ⛔ voltage = 240V, ac_dc = AC; ✅ the datasheet says 12–24 V DC and requires a constant-voltage driver.
• ⚠ This fitting must not be connected to mains. ⭐ 12 Domus fittings sold as 12 V or 24 V carry the same wrong figure — read down from a 40-listing first pass in which 14 flags were drivers, where 240 V is the correct input.
• ✅ A 240 V version of this fitting exists — ⛔ and it is not dimmable.

⭐ CRI ≥90 on a single downward emitter

CRI ≥90 against the ≥80 of most of this catalogue. ⚠ Measured: 100 of 282 Domus products stating a CRI reach 90 — 35%, ⭐ a substantial minority clustered in strips, step lights and exterior wall lights. ⭐ On a downward emitter it shows on the paving: sandstone, travertine, warm pavers and timber decking all go flat and grey at CRI 80 and keep their colour at 90. ⭐ It is the reason to choose this over a cheaper step light, since the walking surface is the only thing it lights.
