The Domus Dent 2 WB is a 2 × 6 W up/down exterior LED wall light — three switchable colour temperatures, IP54, in anti-corrosive powder-coated aluminium.

⚠ Domus states the limit plainly: undercover only
  • ⭐ Their own copy says it directly: “To be mounted undercover. Cannot be installed on exposed walls.”
  • ⭐ That is more useful than the IP number alone. ⭐ IP54 means splash-resistant and dust-protected — ⚠ which a specifier might read as good enough for a weather-facing wall, and the manufacturer is saying it is not.
  • ⭐ So: porches, entry soffits, balconies with a roof above, carport walls, and covered walkways. ⛔ Not an exposed façade, not a west wall taking driven rain, not a garden wall.
  • ⭐ If the wall is exposed, ask us — ⭐ the Muro Eco range is IP65 in polycarbonate and is built for it.
⭐ Up and down — what the twin beams give you
  • ⭐ 2 × 6 W, one beam up and one down, ⭐ 810 lm total, over a 120° spread.
  • ⭐ The effect is two triangles of light on the wall — ⭐ an architectural gesture rather than general illumination.
  • ⚠ It lights the wall, not the ground. ⭐ Do not rely on it to light a step or a path — ⭐ the downward beam grazes the wall face and reaches the ground only weakly.
  • ⭐ Mounting height sets the look: ⭐ higher gives longer, softer triangles; ⚠ lower gives shorter, harder ones and puts the source nearer eye level.

Can I put it on an exposed wall?

No, and Domus says so directly: "To be mounted undercover. Cannot be installed on exposed walls." That is more useful than the IP number alone — IP54 means splash-resistant and dust-protected, which a specifier might reasonably read as good enough for a weather-facing wall, and the manufacturer is saying it is not. Porches, entry soffits, balconies with a roof above, carport walls and covered walkways are its positions.

What should I use on an exposed wall instead?

Ask us about the Muro Eco range — IP65 in polycarbonate and glass, dust-tight and hose-proof, and built for full weather exposure including coastal positions. It is a different look, so it is worth talking through rather than substituting blind.

Will it light a step or a path below it?

Only weakly. The downward beam grazes the wall face, so the effect is a triangle of light on the wall rather than a pool on the ground. If you need the step lit, that wants a separate fitting — a step light, a bollard or a downward-only wall light. Treat this as an architectural gesture on the wall.

How much light does it give?

810 lumens total from 2 × 6W, split between the upward and downward beams at 120 degrees each. That is enough to read as a deliberate lit element on a wall and not enough to be general illumination for the space, which is the usual intent for an up/down.

Does the mounting height matter?

It sets the look. Higher gives longer, softer triangles on the wall; lower gives shorter, harder ones and brings the source nearer eye level, which can be uncomfortable at a doorway. Around 2m is a common starting point for an entry, but it is worth deciding from the wall height and what is above it.

Can I dim it?

No — Domus records it as non-dimmable, which is normal for an exterior wall light on a switched or sensor circuit. Do not put it on a dimmed circuit.

Does the colour temperature change the output?

The published figure is a single 810 lumens rather than a per-setting series, so the switching is presented as an appearance choice here. Some switchable fittings in this catalogue do vary by up to 17% across their settings, so if the exact level matters at a particular setting, ask us and we will confirm with Domus.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
