The Domus BF-8411 is a 460 mm raw ceramic wall light — the widest single-lamp ceramic Domus makes — 100 mm high with a 160 mm projection, taking one E27 lamp and supplied unpainted.
The listing carries “colour changing technology: true”.
All 29 of its siblings record a bulb type. This listing records none. ✅ Its datasheet says E27 — the large screw base — and that is what we have published. ⛔ Not E14, the small one; the two do not interchange, and with the field blank there is nothing on the listing itself to tell you which you need.
Raw ceramic wall light, made in Italy. 460 mm wide × 100 mm high × 160 mm projection. ⛔ Requires 1 × E27 per the datasheet — the lamp base is not recorded on the listing at all. Not included. ⛔ Maximum wattage: the datasheet says 60 W and our record says 20 W (⭐ the same conflict is on 11 of the 12 E27 ceramics here). ⛔ Our record also flags colour-changing technology; the fitting contains no LED and cannot change colour — the globe you fit decides that. Supplied unpainted, finishable with any water-based paint. 220–240 V AC, hard-wired, indoor dry areas. ⚠ Warranty 1 year.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No, and the flag is wrong — we have left it visible rather than quietly deleting it, because a filtered search would use it to put this fitting in front of someone shopping for a colour-changing light. There is no LED in this product: it is a ceramic shell with an E27 lamp holder, so there is nothing to change colour, no driver and no remote. If you do want colour change, fit a smart E27 globe — the fitting is only a holder.
E27 — the large screw base — according to its datasheet. Worth asking, because this is the one listing of the thirty raw ceramics that records no bulb type at all; its twenty-nine siblings all carry one. E14 is the small screw base and the two do not interchange, so check what is in your hand before you drive to the shop.
The datasheet says 60W and our record says 20W. Across the twelve E27 raw ceramics in this range, eleven carry the same conflict, and the twelfth — the BF-2440 — has a sheet genuinely reading "20W CFL", which looks like where the figure came from. We work to the datasheet's 60W. Across 460mm of fitting, a 10W E27 LED is the one worth having, and it sits under both readings.
Evenly rather than brightly, which on a wall this size is the better result — a bright patch on a broad surface looks worse than a soft band across it. It is the widest single-lamp ceramic Domus makes. Treat it as ambient light, not task light, and put a 10W E27 LED in it rather than an 8W.
160mm, among the deepest in this ceramic range, and combined with 460mm of width this is a substantial object on a wall. In a living room or a generous entry that reads as deliberate. In a tight corridor it is too much — measure the passage before committing.
The base will, the body might not. E27 LEDs vary a lot in length and girth and the ceramic cavity is fixed, so a long candle or a large decorative globe can foul it. A compact globe shape is the safe choice, or send us the lamp and we will check it against the fitting.
No. Raw ceramic is porous until painted and the fitting is rated for indoor dry use only. For a bathroom, ask us for something with an IP rating suited to the zone.
