The Domus AVIGNON wall bracket, down-facing on an S-arm, holds the lantern below the arm against a wall — die-cast aluminium with a moulded acrylic lens, IP43, taking a B22 lamp, in beige, black, burgundy, green or white. 290 mm projection.
Domus builds this fitting to order and asks for up to 10 business days for production before it ships. It is not picked off a shelf.
⚠ Ignore the recorded height on this listing. It says 10 mm.
The same bracket with the arm pointing up records 500 mm, and the AVIGNON lantern is about 540 mm tall on the pillar-mount listing. Two configurations of one fitting, fifty times apart in one field.
✅ Work to roughly 290 mm of projection and around 500 mm of overall height, and ask us and we will measure one before you set the fixing height. On a wall bracket the overall height is what decides where the mounting point goes, so it is not a figure to guess at.
✅ Wall bracket up or down, pillar mount, post top, chain pendant, and single, twin or triple head on posts.
A wall bracket at the door, posts along the path and a pillar mount at the gate is one scheme in three mountings. ⚠ No page in the catalogue says the others exist. Tell us the positions and we will quote the set.
Its sheet reads "Requires: Lamp GT-271 Wall Bracket" — ⛔ on a listing that is a wall bracket. The line names another configuration in the family rather than a part. What this needs is a fixing into the wall and a B22 lamp.
AVIGNON traditional exterior wall bracket, down-facing on an S-arm. 290 mm projection; overall height approximately 500 mm. Die-cast aluminium with a moulded acrylic lens; made in Italy, assembled and powder coated in Australia. B22 bayonet lamp holder — lamp not included. 220–240 V AC. IP43 — sheltered positions, not driven rain or hosing. Beige, black, burgundy, green or white. ⚠ Warranty 1 year.
⛔ Our record's height of 10 mm cannot describe this fitting — its up-arm twin records 500 mm and the lantern is about 540 mm tall. Ask us and we will measure one before you set the fixing height. ⛔ Maximum lamp wattage is not recorded in any source — ask us. ✅ The same lantern is available in seven configurations.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Ignore that figure — it cannot describe this fitting. The same bracket with the arm pointing up records 500 mm, and the AVIGNON lantern is about 540 mm tall on the pillar-mount listing. Work to roughly 290 mm of projection and around 500 mm overall, and ask us and we will measure one before you set the fixing height — on a wall bracket the overall height is what decides where the mounting point goes.
Where the light needs to land, and who sees the fitting. The down-arm hangs the lantern below the S-arm, so the light lands closer to the wall and lower down — right for a doorway, a step or a path running alongside the building. The up-arm holds it above the arm, throwing light further out and reading as more formal, the traditional carriage-lamp arrangement. Both take the same lantern, lamp and finishes, so you can mix them.
290 mm. Beside a door, check that against the door swing and the architrave — on a narrow entry porch it is enough to be in the way. Along a side path, allow for anyone carrying something. Mount it above head height, typically 2 m to the underside, and the projection stops mattering.
Not recorded in any source. Neither the datasheet nor our record states a maximum for the B22 holder, and every AVIGNON configuration shares that gap. An LED B22 at 9–11 W sidesteps it — roughly what a 60 W incandescent gave, running cool inside a sealed acrylic lens. Ask us before fitting anything else.
Opal on the down-arm. The lantern sits lower and closer to eye level for anyone approaching, so a visible filament is more noticeable than it would be overhead. On the up-arm version, where the lantern is held higher, a filament is more defensible. Either way, 2700 to 3000 K — warm light at an entrance reads as welcome.
Better placed than on a post top, because the wall shelters one side and an eave or soffit above often shelters the rest. IP43 covers spray falling at up to 60° from vertical, not driven rain and not hosing — so on an exposed gable wall with no overhang it is marginal. Tell us the position and we will say.
It is a wall bracket — which is why its datasheet line is worth explaining. The sheet reads "Requires: Lamp GT-271 Wall Bracket" on a listing that already is one. The line names another configuration in the family rather than a part. What this needs is a fixing into the wall and a B22 lamp.
