The Domus TURIN LARGE Wall Bracket Up is a wall-mounted exterior lantern — 650 mm high, 270 mm projection, B22, 240 V, IP43, in five colours.

⭐ "Large" is a separate sub-family, not a size option

• ⭐ The standard TURIN uses bracket reference GT-421 and offers post heights of 1.32, 1.96 and 2.37 m single, 1.49, 2.11 and 2.47 m twin, and 2.47 m triple.
• ⭐⭐ THE LARGE USES GT-481 AND ITS FAMILY PROSE LISTS ONLY ONE POST HEIGHT: “Single Head on Post (2.45 m)”.
• ⭐ SO IT IS A PARALLEL RANGE WITH A LARGER LANTERN AND FEWER ARRANGEMENTS — ⭐ wall bracket, pillar mount, post top, pendant and a single tall post. ⚠ No twin or triple option.
• ⭐ THAT MATTERS WHEN PLANNING A PROPERTY. ⭐ If a scheme needs a twin-head post at the gate and matching wall brackets at the door, the standard range does it and the Large does not. ⭐ Decide the largest arrangement first, then pick the family that offers it.
• ⚠ AND THE TWO SIZES SHOULD NOT BE MIXED ON ONE PROPERTY — ⭐ a large lantern beside a standard one reads as a mistake rather than a hierarchy.

⭐ Upward-facing, and what it is for

• ⭐ The lantern sits on top of the S-arm rather than hanging beneath it. ⭐⭐ THAT IS THE CLASSIC COACH-LAMP POSTURE AND IT IS WHY MOST PEOPLE CHOOSE THIS ARRANGEMENT — ⭐ it reads as traditional and deliberate in a way the downward version does not.
• ⭐ IT ALSO THROWS LIGHT UP THE WALL AS WELL AS DOWN, ⭐ which on a facade with any texture — brick, stone, render — lights the building rather than just the ground.
• ⚠ THE COSTS ARE REAL THOUGH. ⭐ Light goes into the sky, the source is visible from a distance rather than shaded by the lantern body, and rain arriving down the wall reaches the lantern's opening more directly.
• ⭐ SO IT SUITS AN OPEN FRONTAGE, A SET-BACK HOUSE, OR A SHELTERED PORCH — ⚠ and it suits a boundary wall or a dense street far less well than the downward version.

⭐ A larger lantern changes the mounting height

• ⭐ At 650 mm high the Large lantern is noticeably bigger than the standard 520 mm. ⭐ Its projection is 270 mm, slightly less than the standard down-arm's 310.
• ⭐⭐ ON AN UPWARD BRACKET THE LANTERN SITS ABOVE THE FIXING, so the mounting height should be set from where you want the TOP of the lantern rather than the bottom. ⭐ Around 1.8 to 2.0 m to the fixing puts the lantern top at roughly 2.4 m — high enough to clear a doorway and low enough to feel proportionate to a single-storey facade.
• ⚠ ON A TWO-STOREY FACADE a bracket mounted at door height can look undersized. ⭐ Either raise it, or use the Large family precisely because a bigger lantern holds its own against a bigger wall.
• ⭐ Mount them at a consistent height along an elevation; uneven brackets are conspicuous at night.

⭐ B22, no lamp, and opal matters more upward

⭐ The lamp is not included. ⭐⭐ ON AN UPWARD LANTERN THE SOURCE IS LESS SHADED BY THE FITTING'S OWN BODY, so a clear or filament lamp is visible from further away and from more angles. ⭐ An opal B22 fills the lantern and reads as a glowing object rather than a bright point. ⭐ On a larger lantern that also matters more, because a small bright source inside a big diffuser looks wrong. ⭐ Warm rather than cool: at an entrance, cool white reads as institutional.

⭐ IP43 and the fixing face

⭐ IP43 covers spraying water to 60° from vertical — ⛔ not driving rain, hosing or sprinklers. ⭐ On a wall fitting, rain running down the wall arrives from directly above, and an upward lantern's opening is more exposed to it than a downward one's. ⭐⭐ MOUNT IT UNDER AN EAVE OR IN A PORCH IF YOU CAN. ⭐ And seal the fixing face properly at installation — where the bracket meets the wall is where water sits, and it is the point people check last.
