The Domus TURIN LARGE wall bracket, downward is a wall-mounted exterior lantern — 650 mm high, 350 mm wide, B22, 240 V, IP43, in five colours.
⭐ IP43 covers spraying water to 60° from vertical — ⛔ not driving rain, hosing or sprinklers. ⭐ The 4 excludes wires and most insects, which is what decides whether a lantern fills with them. ⭐⭐ ON A WALL FITTING THE VULNERABLE POINT IS THE FIXING FACE, where the bracket meets the wall and water can sit — ⭐ inspected last, corrodes first. ⭐ Seal it properly at installation. ⭐ Mount under an eave or off the weather side if you can; the downward orientation helps but does not make it a driving-rain fitting.
⭐ The lamp is not included. ⭐⭐ ON A WALL BRACKET THE LANTERN IS AT OR NEAR EYE LEVEL FOR ANYONE APPROACHING THE DOOR, so a clear or filament lamp is a bright point directly in their view. ⭐ An opal B22 fills the lantern and reads as a glowing object. ⭐ On the Large lantern that matters more, because a small bright source inside a big diffuser looks wrong — use a globe shape sized to fill it. ⭐ Warm rather than cool.
⭐ Bracket reference GT-481; the LARGE offers only one complete post height. ⭐ Decide the largest arrangement the property needs first, then pick the family. ⚠ Do not mix the two sizes.
Allow up to 10 business days for production. ⭐ Five colours applied to order. ⚠ Order a facade's worth together.

Exterior wall bracket, straight arm, downward, LARGE lantern. 650 mm high, 350 mm wide. B22, lamp not included. 220–240 V. IP43. Die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lens. Five colours. Bracket reference GT-481. Made to order, up to 10 business days. 1-year warranty. ⭐ THE STRAIGHT ARM IS THE PLAINEST OF THE THREE LARGE DOWNWARD BRACKETS, AND THAT IS THE REASON TO CHOOSE IT. A curved arm reads as a period gesture; a straight one reads as functional and lets the lantern be the only decorative element — which suits a modern facade with a traditional lantern, where a curved arm would be one gesture too many. It also projects less and sweeps no wider than it measures, where a curve reaches its widest partway out. ⭐⭐ AND DOWNWARD IS BOTH THE CONSIDERATE AND THE DURABLE CHOICE: nothing goes into the sky, and the lantern's own body sheds water away from the opening, which is why a downward bracket outlives an upward one on any elevation that takes weather.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Because it is the plainest. A curved arm reads as a period gesture; a straight one reads as functional and lets the lantern be the only decorative element — which suits a modern facade with a traditional lantern, where a curved arm would be one gesture too many.
It projects less and it sweeps no wider than it measures. At 350mm wide it is more compact than the C-arm's 370, and a curve reaches its widest partway out where a straight arm does not — which matters beside a door or on a narrow path.
It is both the considerate and the durable choice. Nothing goes into the sky, the lantern body shades the source from anyone looking at the wall from a distance, and light lands on the ground where it is useful — which on a boundary wall or a shared driveway matters more than the effect. And the lantern's own body sheds water away from the opening rather than collecting it, so a downward bracket outlives an upward one on any elevation that takes weather.
For appearance. The upward versions read as the classic coach-lamp posture. Choose on the position rather than the picture — on an open frontage upward is fine, on a party wall it is a complaint waiting to happen.
Around 2.1 to 2.3 metres to the fixing, which puts the lantern bottom near 1.45 to 1.65m — above head height and below the point where light stops being useful on the ground. Note the 650mm drop is more than the standard TURIN bracket's, so the fixing has to go higher to get the same clearance.
Consistency. Mount them at the same height: uneven brackets are conspicuous at night in a way they never are on a drawing, because each throws a visible pool and the pools do not line up. And pick one arm type for the whole property — straight and curved arms side by side look unresolved.
Check the fixing face. On a wall fitting that is the vulnerable point, where the bracket meets the wall and water can sit — inspected last, corrodes first. Seal it properly at installation, and mount under an eave or off the weather side if you can: the downward orientation helps but does not make it a driving-rain fitting.
