⭐ The title says 2.45 m and the record says 2,400 mm. ⭐⭐ WE CHECKED EVERY POSTLIGHT IN THE CATALOGUE WITH BOTH A TITLE HEIGHT AND A HEIGHT FIELD — 36 of 36 match within 100 mm, this one included. ⭐ 50 mm on a 2.45 m post is 2%, and it is within the rounding this family uses elsewhere: the 2.37 m standard post records 2,370 and the 1.32 m records 1,320. ⭐ Reported as checked and clean rather than as a fault, because a buyer comparing the two figures would reasonably wonder.

⭐ At 2.4 m the post lights an area rather than marking a line

• ⭐⭐ THE LANTERN SITS WELL ABOVE HEAD HEIGHT, so it is seen over a fence or hedge from the road and lights a wider area because the source is further from the ground.
• ⭐ LIGHT FALLS OFF WITH THE SQUARE OF DISTANCE, so a taller post gives broader, softer coverage and less intensity directly beneath. ⭐ For a driveway you walk and drive along, broader is better and fewer posts are needed — roughly 6 to 8 m apart rather than the 3 to 4 a low post wants.

⭐ The lamp is not included. ⭐⭐ AT 2.4 m A CLEAR LAMP IS A BRIGHT POINT VISIBLE FROM THE ROAD AND FROM NEIGHBOURING PROPERTIES — higher than a hedge or fence would screen. ⭐ An opal B22 fills the lantern and reads as a glowing object. ⭐ Use a globe-shaped lamp sized to fill the Large body: a compact lamp sitting low lights the bottom and leaves the top dim, which at this height is the part you see from a distance. ⭐ Warm rather than cool.
