The Domus TURIN 2LT 1.49 m postlight is a twin-head exterior post — 1,440 mm high, 680 mm wide, B22, 240 V, IP43, in five colours.
⭐ Two lamps are needed and neither is included. ⭐⭐ ON A TWIN AT THIS HEIGHT MATCHING MATTERS MORE THAN ON A TALL ONE: the two lanterns are 680 mm apart and at chest height, so they are seen together and close up. ⭐ Any difference in colour temperature or brightness is unmissable. ⭐ Buy them as a pair from one batch and replace them as a pair — a single replacement three years in will not match its neighbour. ⭐ Opal rather than clear, because at chest height a clear lamp is a bright point directly in the view of anyone walking past. ⭐ Warm rather than cool.
⭐ IP43 covers spraying water to 60° from vertical — ⛔ not driving rain, hosing or sprinklers. ⚠ AT 1.44 m BOTH LANTERNS ARE WITHIN SPRINKLER RANGE, which the tall twins are not. ⭐ Check the irrigation layout before setting the post. ⚠ Two lanterns also means two sets of seals and lampholders — check both when maintaining, not only the one that has stopped working. ⭐ The bottom 300 mm of the post is where mowers and edgers reach; keep mulch and soil off it.
⭐ The TURIN head serves as a wall bracket, pillar mount, post top, pendant, and on single, twin or triple-head posts — single at 1.32, 1.96 and 2.37 m, twin at 1.49, 2.11 and 2.47 m, triple at 2.47 m. ⭐⭐ A PROPERTY CAN USE THIS TWIN AT THE GATE, SINGLE POSTS ALONG THE PATH AND A WALL BRACKET AT THE DOOR and have them read as one scheme, because they are the same lantern. ⭐ Bracket reference GT-421.
Allow up to 10 business days for production. ⭐ Five colours applied to order. ⚠ Order the property's fittings together so the finish comes from one batch.

| ⭐ Height / width | ⭐ 1,440 mm · 680 mm |
| ⭐⭐ The proportion | ⭐ Nearly half its height across — ⭐ the broadest here |
| ⭐ So it reads as | ⭐ Two lanterns held out — ⚠ not lifted above |
| ⭐ Which suits | ⭐ A gateway or path head — ⚠ not a run |
| ⚠ Clearance | ⚠ 680 mm at waist height — ⭐ needs ~1.5 m of path |
| ⭐⭐ The real saving | ⭐ Groundwork — one footing, one conduit |
| ⭐ Wind load | ⭐ Less than the tall twins — ⭐ a more modest footing |

| ⭐ Two lamps, ⛔ neither included | ⭐ Matching matters more at chest height |

Twin-head exterior postlight. 1,440 mm high, 680 mm wide. B22, two lamps required, neither included. 220–240 V. IP43. Light die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lens, made in Italy, powder-coated in Australia. Five colours. Made to order, up to 10 business days. 1-year warranty. ⭐ 680 mm OF ARM SPAN ON A 1,440 mm POST IS NEARLY HALF ITS HEIGHT ACROSS — the broadest proportion of any TURIN post. The taller twins carry the same span on posts up to 2,440 mm so they read as slender; this one reads as WIDE, two lanterns held out either side of a short column rather than lifted above it. That is emphatic at low level, which suits a gateway or the head of a path where a single short post would be too quiet — but it is not a run fitting. ⚠ AND 680 mm IS A REAL FOOTPRINT AT WAIST HEIGHT: a path narrower than about 1.5 m with one of these beside it is a fitting people walk into.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Wider. 680mm of arm span on a 1,440mm post is nearly half its height across, the broadest proportion of any TURIN post — the taller twins carry the same span on posts up to 2,440mm, so they read as slender. This one reads as two lanterns held out either side of a short column rather than lifted above it.
A gateway, an entrance or the head of a path — somewhere a point wants more light and a single short post would be too quiet. It is not a run fitting: a line of these along a drive is busy in a way the single-head 1.32m version is not.
680mm is a real footprint at waist height. Check the clearance either side — a path narrower than about 1.5m with one of these beside it is a fitting people walk into.
The groundwork. Every post means a footing dug and poured, a conduit run and a cable pulled, and across a paved area that means cutting and reinstating. Two heads on one post halves all of it. The trade is spacing: the heads are 680mm apart where two posts could be metres apart, so a twin concentrates light at a point rather than distributing it.
Wind load. At 1.49m it catches less wind than the 2.11 and 2.47m twins, so the footing requirement is more modest.
More than on a tall twin. The two lanterns are 680mm apart and at chest height, so they are seen together and close up, and any difference in colour temperature or brightness is unmissable. Buy them as a pair from one batch and replace them as a pair. Use opal rather than clear, because at chest height a clear lamp is a bright point directly in the view of anyone walking past.
Check both lanterns, not just the one that stopped working — two heads means two sets of seals and lampholders. At 1.44m both are within sprinkler range, which the tall twins are not, so check the irrigation layout before setting the post. And keep mulch and soil off the bottom 300mm, where mowers and edgers reach.
