⭐ 1.32 m is below eye level — which changes the job

• ⭐ The TURIN single-head post comes at 1.32, 1.96 and 2.37 m. ⭐ This is the shortest.
• ⭐⭐ AT 1,320 mm THE LANTERN SITS BELOW EYE LEVEL FOR MOST ADULTS, so you look down at it rather than up. ⭐ That turns it from an area light into a marker: what it does is define an edge — the side of a path, the boundary of a lawn, the line of a bed.
• ⭐ WHICH MAKES IT THE ONE FOR A RUN. ⭐ Four or five down a path reads as a rhythm; the same number at 2.37 m reads as an avenue, which is a much heavier statement.
• ⭐ IT IS ALSO THE LEAST OBTRUSIVE FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE. ⭐ A glowing lantern at 1.32 m sits below most window sight lines where one at 2.37 m is squarely in them.

• ⭐ THE 290 × 290 mm FOOTPRINT IS MODEST for this range, ⭐ which is part of why the short post suits a planted bed where the twin-head versions at 680 mm would not.

⭐ The TURIN head serves as a wall bracket, pillar mount, post top, pendant, and on single, twin or triple-head posts — single at 1.32, 1.96 and 2.37 m, twin at 1.49, 2.11 and 2.47 m, and triple at 2.47 m. ⭐⭐ SO A PROPERTY CAN USE SHORT POSTS ALONG A PATH, TALLER ONES AT THE DRIVE AND A WALL BRACKET AT THE DOOR and have them read as one scheme, because they are literally the same lantern. ⭐ Specifying three different products for three positions is the common alternative and the mismatch always shows. ⭐ The sheet names GT-421 as the wall bracket reference for this family.

⭐ B22, no lamp, and opal at low level

⭐ The lamp is not included. ⭐⭐ AT 1.32 m THE LANTERN IS AT ROUGHLY CHEST HEIGHT, so a clear or filament lamp is a bright point directly in the view of anyone walking past — closer to the eye than on any taller post in the range. ⭐ An opal B22 fills the lantern and reads as a glowing object. ⭐ Warm rather than cool: on a garden post, cool white reads as institutional. ⭐ The moulded acrylic lens yellows gradually under UV, so if the lantern dims and the lamp is new, check the lens.
