• ⭐⭐ THE PATTERN IS CLEAR: length is the title's first figure rounded to the panel module (612→600, 1212→1200), and width is the second figure plus about 43 mm of flange (312→355, 612→655).
• ⭐ SO THE RECORD DESCRIBES THE FRAME'S OWN OUTSIDE DIMENSIONS and the title names the panel size it takes. ⭐ Both are correct; they are answering different questions.
• ⭐ WE ARE RECORDING THIS AS A CHECKED-AND-CLEAN RESULT rather than a fault, ⚠ because a buyer comparing the title with the dimensions would reasonably suspect the data. ⭐ The figure you need for the ceiling is the frame's: 355 × 600 mm, standing 66 mm proud.

• ⚠ THE 66 mm HEIGHT IS THE TRADE. ⭐ A recessed panel sits flush; this stands 66 mm below the ceiling, which is visible and which matters under a low soffit or where a door swings close to the ceiling line.

⭐ The panel it frames: 16 W, 1,300–1,500 lm, and a harmonic filter

• ⭐ The PANEL-BLT-306 is 16 W giving 1,300 lm at 3000 K, 1,500 at 4000 and 1,400 at 5700, with CRI ≥80 and a 120° beam. ⚠ Note 4000 K is the brightest, not 5700.
• ⭐⭐ THE SHEET NAMES A HARMONIC FILTER, WHICH IS UNUSUAL AND WORTH READING. ⭐ It reduces total harmonic distortion, which reduces flicker and strobing.
• ⭐ THAT MATTERS MORE IN THE ROOMS THESE PANELS GO IN THAN ALMOST ANYWHERE ELSE. ⭐ Offices and commercial spaces are where people sit under the same light for eight hours, and where flicker is associated with headaches and eye strain — and where rotating machinery makes strobing a safety question rather than a comfort one.
• ⭐ IT IS A GENUINE SPECIFICATION RATHER THAN MARKETING, and it is the reason to prefer this panel over a cheaper one in a workplace.

⚠ Backlit rather than edge-lit — and why that is the better construction

⭐ “Backlit” means the LEDs sit behind the diffuser across the whole panel area; edge-lit panels put them around the rim and use a light guide. ⭐⭐ BACKLIT PANELS ARE MORE EVEN, because every part of the diffuser has an emitter behind it rather than depending on light travelling sideways through acrylic. ⭐ They also age more evenly — an edge-lit panel's light guide can yellow unevenly and show as a gradient. ⚠ The trade is thickness: a backlit panel needs depth behind the diffuser, which is part of why this frame stands 66 mm proud.

⛔ IP20 and not dimmable

⭐ IP20 means indoor only, with no water protection. ⛔ Not for a covered outdoor area, a carpark soffit that gets wind-driven rain, or a wash-down space. ⭐ The sheet says dimmable = No, so do not put it on a dimmer circuit. ⚠ In an office that is rarely a loss; ⚠ in a space that wants daylight-linked dimming it rules the panel out and a DALI panel is the answer. ⭐ 50,000 hrs. ⚠ Note the sheet carries a warranty disclaimer — ask us for the current terms rather than reading the three-year figure as unconditional.
