DOMUS PARIS 3LT 2.45M POSTLIGHT B22

The Domus PARIS 3LT is a three-lantern post light — 2370 mm high, die-cast aluminium and moulded acrylic, IP43, 3 × B22, in five colours.

⛔ It publishes no width — and this is the model where that matters most

• ⭐ The 2-light Paris at the identical 2370 mm height publishes a width of 610 mm. ⛔ This 3-light publishes none at all.
• ⭐ And a three-lantern head is precisely the case you cannot infer. ⭐ Two lanterns sit on a bar, so the width is the span between them. ⭐ Three sit in a cluster — typically two forward and one back, or three around a centre — ⚠ and the widest measurement across that arrangement could be more OR LESS than the two-light bar.
• ⭐ We have seen both in this catalogue. ⭐ On the Domus MONACO range the 3-light is NARROWER than the 2-light — 820 mm against 840 mm — ⭐ which is the opposite of the intuitive answer. ⚠ So an assumption based on “more lanterns means wider” is not safe.
• ⭐ Ask us for the width before you commit to a position — ⭐ particularly beside a driveway, a path or a boundary, where a few hundred millimetres decides whether it is in the way.

⭐ Three lanterns at 2.37 m — what it is for

• ⭐ This is the largest fitting in the Paris range, ⭐ and at nearly 2.4 m with three lanterns it is an entrance statement rather than a path light.
• ⭐ It suits a driveway entrance, a formal gate or the head of a long approach — ⭐ somewhere it is meant to be seen and to signal arrival. ⚠ On a suburban front garden it will dominate.
• ⭐ Three lanterns is also a switching opportunity. ⭐ At around 8 W each in LED that is 24 W running dusk to dawn — ⭐ and there is a case for running one lantern overnight and all three only on arrival, if the wiring allows. ⚠ That has to be designed in; it cannot be added later.

⛔ Three globes, none included, and B22

⭐ “Requires: 3 × B22 Globes (not included).” ⚠ So a 2.37 m post is concreted in and lights nothing until three lamps arrive. ⭐ At that height, take long-life LED — ⚠ changing them needs a ladder on a garden surface, which is the least convenient combination. ⛔ No maximum wattage is published.
