DOMUS PARIS 1LT 1.31M POSTLIGHT B22

The Domus PARIS 1LT is a single-lantern post light — 1260 mm high, die-cast aluminium and moulded acrylic, IP43, 1 × B22, in five colours.

⛔ Its title says 1.31 m. Its own description says 1260 mm.

• ⭐ That is a 50 mm difference, and it is not a metafield entry error — ⭐ the supplier's own description carries “Dimensions: W 175mm x H 1260mm” under a title reading 1.31M.
• ⭐ We measured how far this goes across the Domus post range. ⭐ Of 36 postlights publishing both a title height and a measured height, 14 agree within 25 mm and 22 do not — ⚠ with gaps up to 80 mm.
• ⚠ Our first reading was that this might be a rounding convention. ⛔ It is not: the SIGN varies. ⭐ Avignon listings run NEGATIVE (the post is taller than the title), Paris always runs POSITIVE (shorter than the title). ⭐ A convention would go one way.
• ⭐ There IS a pattern by range, though, and it is useful:

• ⭐ THE PRACTICAL RULE: on a Paris post, take the measured height, not the title. ⭐ This one stands 1260 mm, not 1310.
• ⭐ 50 mm matters when the post is being set out against a fence line, a gate post, a window sill or a row of neighbours. ⚠ It matters far less on an open lawn. ⭐ Know which situation you are in.

⛔ It arrives without a globe — and the base is B22, not E27

• ⭐ “Requires: 1 × B22 Globe (not included).” ⚠ So the post is concreted in and does not light until someone supplies a lamp.
• ⭐ B22 is the BAYONET base — push and twist — not the E27 screw base used on the Domus Monaco posts. ⚠ They do not interchange, ⭐ so a spare from another fitting will not fit. ⭐ Order the globe with the post.
• ⛔ No maximum wattage is published — ⚠ which matters in an enclosed acrylic lantern where heat has nowhere to go. ⭐ Prefer LED, which runs far cooler than the incandescent lamps these lanterns were designed around.

⚠ IP43 — rain, not hosing

⭐ IP43 is protection against solid objects above 1 mm and water SPRAYED at up to 60° from vertical. ✅ Ordinary rain is fine. ⛔ A pop-up sprinkler is a jet from below and is not covered, ⭐ and neither is hosing. ⭐ Site it clear of sprinkler throw before the base is poured.
