The Domus GT-557 Siena is a 250 mm sphere on a post — 1,570 mm recorded height, 380 mm deep, IP43, taking one E27 lamp, in aluminium. Five powder-coated colours.
Domus builds this to order and asks for up to 10 business days for production before it ships. The body is powder-coated in your colour after ordering. ⚠ Order a run or a matched pair together — a later powder-coat batch is not guaranteed to match.

250 mm sphere post light. 1,570 mm recorded height, 380 mm deep. IP43. 220–240 V AC. One E27 lamp — not included. Aluminium. Beige, Black, Burgundy, Green or White. ⚠ Warranty 1 year. ⛔ Made to order — allow up to 10 business days. ⛔ This "Tall" post and the GT-555 "Medium" post record identical height, sphere and depth — they differ in name only. Ask us to measure before ordering for height. ⛔ No maximum lamp wattage, footing specification or wind rating.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Not on anything recorded. This Tall post and the GT-555 Medium post both record 1,570mm high, 250mm wide and 380mm deep — every dimension identical, differing in name only. We checked whether this was a size-ladder problem and it is not: measured across all 14 Siena posts, "tall" is a single value within each head count (1,570mm single, 2,350mm twin, 2,100mm triple). It is the naming that collides. If you want the taller of the two, there is no evidence on record that this is it — ask us and we will measure a physical post before you commit to a ten-day lead time.
Only "short" on the single-head posts — it records 950mm and nothing else in the range does. Everywhere else, eight pairs are named differently and record identically: single-head medium and tall both at 1,570mm, twin-head short and medium both at 1,330mm. Order on the recorded height rather than the size word, and ask us if the height is critical against a fence, a gate or a sight line.
Domus builds this to order and asks for up to 10 business days for production before it ships. It is not held in stock — the body is powder-coated in your chosen colour after ordering, which is why five colours are offered. If you are installing a run, order them together: a second order starts its own ten days, and a later powder-coat batch is not guaranteed to match.
It is the useful height in this range for a driveway or an entrance path. The sphere sits at about eye level and reads as a lamp on a post rather than a garden object, which gives a path proper presence — where the 950mm short post sits down in the planting and marks a border instead. What it does mean is that glare matters more here than at any other height, because a sphere is visible from every angle and at eye level the lamp is in your sight line.
An E27 LED at 8–10W, warm at 2700–3000K, rated for enclosed and damp use, in a compact globe shape. No maximum wattage is recorded anywhere in the Siena range, so ask us before going above about 15W. At this height the warm-and-modest advice stops being cosmetic — the sphere is at eye level, so a bright cool globe becomes the brightest thing in the garden and you will be looking straight at it.
If glare concerns you, yes. The GT-558 is the same post with a 300mm sphere, which spreads the same E27 lamp over a larger surface — so it glows more evenly and reads softer at eye level. The output is identical; only the apparent brightness changes. On a wide frontage the larger sphere also holds the scale better.
Not recorded on any Siena post — no depth, base plate size, fixing pattern or wind rating. At 1,570mm the leverage on the footing is greater than on the short posts, so it is worth settling rather than guessing. Tell us the site and the soil and we will get the detail from Domus before your concreter is there; it goes into concrete long before anyone tests the light.
