The Domus EDEN-FL is a mother-and-child floor lamp: an 18 W uplighter throwing 1,650 lumens at the ceiling and a separate 5 W task light giving 400 lumens where you are sitting — each with its own dimmer dial.

✅ Two lights, two dials, one stem — and that is the whole argument for it. The record lists this lamp as 23 W, which is correct arithmetic and tells you nothing useful.

What it actually gives you is two independent circuits in one piece of furniture:

Why an uplighter rather than a shade
  • 1,650 lm bounced off a white ceiling lights a whole living room softly, with no visible source and no glare. In a rental or a room with no ceiling point, that is genuinely the alternative to having no ceiling light.
  • ✅ Frosted glass on the uplighter means the LED is not visible even from a first-floor landing looking down.
  • ⚠ It needs a light ceiling. Bounced light is only as good as the surface it bounces off — on a dark or timber ceiling you will lose most of it.
  • ⚠ At 1,825 mm tall it is a presence in a room. Check it against a window head or a sloping ceiling.
The reading light
  • 400 lm on an adjustable arm — enough to read by comfortably, not enough to disturb anyone else in the room.

What does "mother and child" mean?

Two lights on one stem. The "mother" is an 18 W uplighter throwing 1,650 lumens at the ceiling to light the whole room softly; the "child" is a separate 5 W task light on an adjustable arm giving 400 lumens where you are sitting. They have their own dimmer dials, so you can run the room low for television and the reading light up for a book at the same time.

Is 23 W the whole lamp?

Yes — 18 W for the uplighter plus 5 W for the task light. That total is correct on our record, which is worth noting because several other lamps in this range carry a wattage that is not. What the single number hides is that these are two independent lights, which is the actual reason to buy this one.

Will the uplighter light a whole room?

On a white or light ceiling, yes — 1,650 lumens bounced off a ceiling gives soft, sourceless light across a living room, which makes this a genuine alternative in a rental or a room with no ceiling point. On a dark or timber ceiling you will lose most of it, and a different lamp would serve you better.

Can I change the colour temperature?

No. Both lights are fixed at 3000 K warm white and there is no switch. Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
